I bought my son an illuminated first focal plane scope for his AR. Turn it down to the lowest power and illuminate the reticle and you basically have a red dot. Increase the power and you get the accuracy of a reticle.

 

Thanks man! I wasn't having a hard time seeing the reticle though. I definitely need magnification for the target.

 

Soon the magazine itself will be outlawed and you must single-feed through the ejection port ... and eventually citizen-comrades will have to carry muzzle-loaders and powerhorns around.

Finally got a half decent range trip in, couldn’t get the .300 blk with the NV scope sighted with the sun in my face so I’ll have to do that another time but I did get good chronograph data for the 13.9” AR with 62 grain Barnes VorTx and got it sighted in.

 

Magnifier came in. Gonna go out next Friday and test it out.
