Wow, check out the hair. What year was this, early 80's? Looks like Pittsburg Steelers Sweater. Was nice to be young once, wasn't it.

Posting these first buck or deer pics, is showing your age. Some of you guys are approaching "Old Fart" status.

Feeling good enough to get out today for the first of Ohio's 2 bonus gun days - hadn't hunted since the opener as I have been sick for about 10 straight days. Again, cold as shit and snowed all morning - got another 3-4 inches of powder. Heard 1 closer shot from behind the blind (naturally, minimal windows). 5 minutes later I see a deer back that way ....a doe thru the scope. Nothing else, just standing there 50-60 yards away. Then when I look again, I see another smaller/similar-sized deer behind it and a larger one a bit behind it. Couldn't see either of their heads as they were behind trees. Assumed it was the doe and 2 yearlings that my in-laws frequently see on their property. They start running away toward the property line and the thick shit. Wind is in my face and I pick up the doe, then the second one in my scope - a spike, 6-8" long ones. Finally I get the 3rd deer in my scope and it is a racked buck, not huge, but if I could have gotten a shot, I would have taken it. Once they got in the thick shit, I could occasionally see movement/body parts but had no idea which deer was which. So, I passed on a few 'iffy' chances. I try to hold out for a buck until the last 2 days of muzzleloader (Jan 4-7 this year) otherwise, the first doe standing broadside would have been an easy shot.

    Until tomorrow.....

Oh, it's gonna be in the teens to start the morning!!!!
