If you want to turn off PCS, then get tech stream or Carista and enable memory for the PCS on/off selection. That way you can turn it off and it stays off as long as you want it to, but can still turn it back on if you ever put the truck back to stock or sell it or whatever. As opposed to the TSB permanently disabling it with no option to turn it back on.

Back when this thread was made, to my option, permanently disabling was the only option. But with the ability to remember the selection, that is a better option IMO.

I like the idea of it being gone-gone.

I mean I guess, but it’s the exact same result as turning it off by choice…same annoying PCS off light on the dash, same lack of function. Just can’t ever come back from it. I don’t see the upside to the permanent one.

So how do we keep the lights off too?

Can’t. Unless you did surgery to the combination meter. Or put tape over the light.

Curious if there's been any new info on this. I want to swap out my grill but the new grill does not have accommodations for the radar.

The tsb 0026-20 might take care of it.

I found this TSB and printed it out. Going to call stealership Monday and see what they say. Looks like you still get a waring light though but it's just in the info display I believe. If I was to go through with this, I wonder if then I'm able to unplug the radar and physically remove it from the truck. This is what I would need to do to accommodate the potential new grill. We'll see. Thanks for the info!

Instead of having TSS permanently shut off by the dealer, you are better off just getting Carista and enabling TSS button memory and then you can just turn it off indefinitely. Grilles aren’t forever, you may swap back to one with TSS accommodations someday.

no matter what happens, it will be the same result: TSS light on the dash until TSS is reenabled. There is no way around that and the light is obnoxious.

I've just moved up from a 2007 to a 2019 and Déjà vu! One of the first things I did to the old truck was open up the dash to get at the gauges and place a piece of black tape over the tire pressure sensor light. Now it looks like I'll be doing the same to the flashing Re-Collision distraction light because the stealership wants $1500 to make it go away. I may smother the other one too while I'm at it...

The dealer is yanking your chain if they’re telling you they’ll get rid of the light. They can’t get rid of the light. Tape under the panel is your best option.

Removing the radar sensor on the grill will disable both Cruise Controls, adaptive and the regular speed only. To test just unplug the sensor and go for a drive.
