Permanently Disable Pre-Collision (and DRCC)

    If you want to turn off PCS, then get tech stream or Carista and enable memory for the PCS on/off selection. That way you can turn it off and it stays off as long as you want it to, but can still turn it back on if you ever put the truck back to stock or sell it or whatever. As opposed to the TSB permanently disabling it with no option to turn it back on.

    Back when this thread was made, to my option, permanently disabling was the only option. But with the ability to remember the selection, that is a better option IMO.

    I mean I guess, but it’s the exact same result as turning it off by choice…same annoying PCS off light on the dash, same lack of function. Just can’t ever come back from it. I don’t see the upside to the permanent one.

    Can’t. Unless you did surgery to the combination meter. Or put tape over the light.
