I’m looking to do a couple things to my 4th gen and could use some guidance on order of operations lol. What should I do first?

    Things I want to do:
    - tonneau cover
    - replace OEM grill with TH grille or pro grille
    - wheels + tires
    - greenlane sliders

it's all dependent off the size of your wallet.
wheels would make the biggest improvement visually, then the question is which wheels....
    sliders are a great addition...
get them angled, not straight, look much better...
I thought I wanted straight for more door. ding protection, wrong...
also other good brands out there, nw2 is what I have, cgi, cali raised, westcott design...

me personally, grill doesnt give me the warm I have to have it feeling, im passing

I wish my wallet was bigger… will have to upgrade over time. I’m thinking of starting with the sliders because my wife has a hard time getting in the truck and would make it easier for my dog as well. Not sold on doing that first so wanted some opinions. I appreciate the reply. Cheers.

I guess a tonneau if you want one. I say this as I probably wouldn't be moding a 24 that much, I'd approach a 4G with the intent of not holding on to it for too long, maybe there could be some issues warranty, and I'd probably just drive the truck stock. Honestly I couldn't think of how I would mod a 4G? Big tires and a lift come to mind, I just wouldn't commit to the truck yet. That doesn't mean you can't mod a new truck. I'd probably like a heritage grill, and would want a skid plate.

Proceed in the order of functionality for how you use the truck.

Keep any removed parts so you can return to stock easily should you decide to trade it.

I'm a 3G Guy but I would add to your list the glove-box and center console organizers.
That is so cheap and adds so much functionality, Toyota should have included it in the base model.

All dependent on you. No need for help. Do what you want to do first.

Are you saying this because it’s a new gen and would wait until long term reviews before modding? Thanks

Yes, that's just way I'm viewing the new gen. I also don't know what way I'd go with aftermarket mods. Tonneaus, sidesteps, and mud flaps outside of that I wouldn't know what the 4G needs

For me, hood struts was #1. Cheap, easy, and you will smile every time you lift the hood! :)

#2 was wheels and tires. I thought the factory set on the TRD Sport was butt ugly.

Like others have said, your priorities are yours alone - no one else can tell you how you should spend your money...

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I think you should cut the roof off and make it a speedster.

Maybe not necessarily first but for me the biggest area of need is stereo. For what you pay, it's pretty weak. I don't need a window rattling bass boomer, just good clean full sound which this "premium" sound system is sorely lacking.

    IF $ is not a player………

I have a Sport model with factory Blackout package………and started with functionality over looks………..so my first upgrade was a Bed Mat, followed by Redline Hood Struts, followed window tint…….

I was lucky, my hard tonneau cover was an exact fit from my 3rd gen, so I invested those funds in a 1 1/2 Leveling of the truck, improving the ride, not affecting the warranty……..followed by trading for larger size tires from a Tundra, BUT keeping my wheels 18”.

functionality (making the truck drive/ride better) over looks with a little bit of a budget……

For the price of the grille, you can improve on your floor mats, I upgraded to LASFiT, along with LASFIT lighting……

my next project…….patiently waiting for the OTT tune…….had it on my 3rd gen, what a difference……..and it promises 300HP and better torque…….
