4th Gen Tacoma (2024+)

Blue Crush and Supersonic Red aren’t considered special color options. They have been on Camrys, Corollas, etc. for a while now.
For example, Terra, released on the TRD Pro last year is now available in the TRD OR and Sport. Next year, that color will be gone.

 

Has anyone driven both a Pro and a Sport? Which one rides nicer on-road?

Out of all of the suspension systems, the TRD OR seemed to ride the best on every day roads.
Obviously the pro has adjustability which helps personalize that situation, but left just to the test drives, the OR seemed to respond. The best. There seemed to be quite a difference between the sport and the OR. Holding more and more weight to what everyone says that you just get more for your money out of an OR then you do the sport.

 

Well heck, if the OR rides better than a Pro, I'll just get an OR. It'll save me 10 grand and the back seat issue, not to mention that I won't look like a douche rocket riding around town .

 

I'm assuming you drove the three models on the same roads but maybe the OR was the only one with proper tire pressure. Lots of reports of the tires being wildly overfilled. Also, what setting was the Pro on?

 

Yes, all of them were at the same dealership on the same day and I drove like six different ones and yes, the tire pressures were all at 35 psi (I now own a trailhunter)

 

Toyota considers Supersonic Red a premium paint with a charge of $425, so I would consider that a special color option.

 

You drove six Tacomas, checked the tire pressure on each one, and didn't buy one. 50/50 impressed/skeptical.

 

Lol, but yes. The pro suspension was designed for one aggressive purpose. One which probably 95% of the purchasers will probably never put it through. Save yourself the 10 grand and buy an OR, just my two cents of opinion.

And they all had about the same amount of gas in them also

 

They also consider bronze oxide, a specialty paint and it’s still here for 25

 

There’s still the part about test driving six trucks. Dealer must really want to make a sale.

 

Toyota doesn't add an additional charge for bronze oxide.

 

I believe they did in 24, but if they didn’t , then lucky me I guess.

Absolutely not, it’s a dealership I’ve dealt with for over 10 years. I wanted to make the right choice. It had nothing to do with the dealership. Trailhunter had more of the features I was gonna end up doing to my truck anyways, so I bought it over the OR

No added color charge for my Bronze Oxide.

 

Only solar octane had it iirc

 

I just checked and the following had premium color charges of $425.00 for 2024:

Solar Octane
Supersonic Red
Wind Chill Pearl
