I am now a first time Tacoma owner. My stepmother gave me her 2018 SR5 with only 45k miles on it. She said I needed a new truck since my F150 has 219k miles, has rusted out rear wheel wells and leaks out a quart of oil a month. She also wanted to pay me back for all the work I've done fixing and cleaning out her old house.

I just got tags for it today. It needed new tires to pass inspection so I added some Method 701's and 265/70R17 Wildpeak AT4W. I think they have the perfect amount of poke. Mr. Tire had to do some trimming, there was a little bit of rubbing.

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
First who was chasing you and why did it take so long to out run them?! My gosh nobody of sound mind would INTENTIONALLY run 4 miles in 5 degree temps! Would they???

    Good news.

It is not as powerful as F-150, but it gets you around. Transmission "hunts for gears" but a OTT tune can help. Do not go nuts with lift and suspension until you get some advice from those in TW who learned the hard way. Tailgates are easily "lifted" so get a tailgate lock from SaBellCo or @christian06.

Sit and watch this thread for a while.

Either I stop running because of cold that will not end soon or I man-up.

What does super glue stick to best? Yep, skin. Essential part of my FAK.

There are many myths surrounding its invention being on the battlefields of World War II. While much of what surrounds its wartime myth is false, it was indeed used during the Vietnam war to help close the wounds on the soldiers. [Source]

But you are not supposed to use NewSkin on too-deep a wound ... and it stings like a bitch on exposed deeper skin layers. I used it on a cut that was not too far from needing stitches, along with butterfly bandages ... that is when I learned how much it stings. Healed up enough in just 5 days.

But it is wonderful for papercuts.

Until you can get the OTT tune, simply using the ECT PWR button helps a lot also, you can even use S mode (with or without it) on the shifter and leave it in 4th or 5th unless on a level hwy...

Excellent Point! A lot of common human medications and first aid supplies are available for animals at a cheaper price.
Co-Band is one of those too.

I'm a hiker and a backpacker. I carry Leukotape for blisters. So super glue and Leukotape (and possibly some gauze or cloth for pressure) will take care of a pretty major gash, not just a papercut. At least long enough to get out of the backcountry. A bit of stinging doesn't make my list of concerns.

    (1) I use it for more than just papercuts. But packaging strongly suggests that if the cut is too deep or clean through skin is not advised. But if I had to ... I would. (2) I deal with the sting ... but the first time I used it on the deeper slice it was a surprise. Now I expect it.

An interesting and "surprise" addition to an emergency kit ... latex-free shower sleeve. Doggie got jumpy on a trail in May ... no bite-through but a bandage was on for weeks and did not want to get it wet in a shower. The "sleeve" (Walgreens, CVS, etc) makes a "mitt" at fingers and allows washing but still a bandage is left dry. If on the trail you might not have enough gauze to change every day.

...I honestly thought the same thing. Didn't think it was real. I thought maybe he slapped it on there after buying a badge third party or something, but it is a Trailhunter. It even says it on the control arms. haha!

After 5 years, 140,000 miles and I'll the mods I did. I finally traded up, IMG_2772.jpg hope I don't regret it. But I'm really liking the more room that was much needed.
