In all the fussing around to get the winch mounted in the back I knocked a wire loose and my marker lights aren't working... bother!

I like zip ties.....they hold 45% of my truck together.

Crimping wire and making sure it is snug with tight connections is what I've been fiddling with.

The cubby isn't as big a cluster flump as it looks in some of the other photos. I left slack for future endeavors and the outs are wired to the back of the cover.

Wire nuts can come undone on moving vehicles. They're fine for buildings and houses.

I need to redo the switch. Light on switch draws constant power when hooked up.
The other switch had 3 wires, this one has 4.

Would make life easier if everyone used the same color coding too.

Thought he was talking about the heat shrink soldering joints.

I was just stating how wire nuts aren't my go to for auto wiring.

I'll go back to work for a few minutes.....

Wire nuts should always be wrapped with gratuitous amounts of e tape. Even in a stationary application

Correct. I only use wire nuts in a house.

anything in a vehicle is crimped or with the heat shrink solder connectors

If ifs and buts were candy and (wire) nuts, we'd all have a merry xmas

    Until next time.
    Found mine, too.
Green from switch had to go to red from relay. Red from switch had to get jumped to white.
Idk why they send switches setup for backlight to remain on 24/7.

    Post some pics here.

My ditch lights still work. :D

Actually, my preferred method is solder and heat shrink. But, sometimes I get lazy.

Electrical tape worked absolutely fine for me for many years....
I only got hooked on the solder heat shrinks because I bought them for one project and you have to buy like 200,000 of them (800 maybe) at a time.
