I think I'll break a low temperature record for 2024 tonight. Lowest so far this year was -0.6 and I'm at 1.4 and falling:

    Cold crap here.

I've got an autel 508 if anyone needs it. Zero dollars TW discount.

ACTUALLY I lied. Free in or near me in Providence. Beer or roast beef sandwiches if it's a drive.

 i had to laugh earlier this year i had the seatbelt light flashing in a way i didn't expect. I think I took off earlier than I usually do or usually ignore it. Nothing was wrong but i saw it blink when it should have been solid. After a few minutes i thought "only me, i know the light being on is normal, but not on THAT WAY ... that's a warning in a new way!" Just giggled. Nothing happened just thought it was comedic.

Seems to be what I'm up against. I just went to the store to fill up and both times (home and store) it flashed for about 30 seconds and then stayed on, I am confident it's not a true warning re tire pressure. I'll see what TFT says on the 4 wheel scan.

I haven’t ran a set of wheels on my truck with TPMS in them for 9 years. Sometimes the light is solid and sometimes it flashes. The truck still hasn’t learned. :D

My tire light has come on twice in the time I owned the truck. The first time was due to a flat L/F tire (glass) and the second time was due to me installing new tires and running lower air pressure. The first cold day and the light is on. I reinitialized the TPMS and no light since that day.

Lets all recognize that anything below the temperature that water freezes sucks.....everything below that causes our minds to rot and our trucks to rust.

I hate TPMS sensors. They give me nothing but headaches. I ended up replacing all four on my '06 Tundra. Not at one, but as they went out. First time was Sullivan Tire. Actually ONLY time at Sullivan Tire. After that Town Fair was my go to. Except that one time I needed one done while I was in Woburn. Light came on and I was near there and pulled in. They replaced it, but the next morning the tire was low. Again, I had to be up that way and they said that there was a slow leak around the valve stem, but they fixed it.

Next morning tire was low again, so I put air in and drove to the one on Route 1 on the Walpole line. After a little bit, the manager came out and told me that whoever did the TPMS sensor had bunged the hole in the wheel up and I needed a new wheel. I had the receipt from Woburn and a phone call was made up there, then to cooperate. I got a remanufactured wheel out of that.

Other than that Town Fair was good to deal with. They fixed a leak in my wife's '07 Highlander, which they said was due to oxidation on the rim. I didn't buy the tires there, but they only charged $5.00. That system was a PITA because the light would only come on when the tire pressure was down to about 15psi. If I was driving, I knew a tire needed air because the steering go squirrely. Put air in and all was well.

Down here in Texas, the cold air pressure has to be adjusted because it's up near 100 for five months then it cools down to normal temperatures. Both my wife's RAV and my Tacoma needed adjustment when it got down to the 70s.

Speaking of which, it hit the high 60s today. I don't miss the cold of New England at all.

Mostly I've been good with the TPMS. Only my second vehicle with them and the Tacoma has needed 2 new ones, both well after 10 yrs. My Chevy Colorado, ehhhh..it worked fine but the damn engine that's another story.

I don't think we needed any done on the 05 Rav and that was 14 yrs old when she sold it, this one is 11 yrs old so I'll deal.

Very jealous re your need to air up in Texas vs Massachusetts.

Probably a realistic 8 to 10 more weeks of the COLD. Then just cold... lol

I agree. However, I will say, I have NO USE for anything lower than 60f.

    I'm with you.

Last year I thought one of mine was acting up.
It was actually one of the valve stems rotting and leaking at the rim.
Looked like electrolysis to me. :notsure:

The fan on my son's '11 Pre Runner goes to High only sometimes. I find if I wiggle the wires, it goes back to working. He told me that the shop that does his routine maintenance replaced the harness, but it appears that they did a crap job. He's getting a company car, so he doesn't much care, but since the truck will go to my grandson, I'll see if I can correct the problem next time we're at their place.

Check the resister connection, and other parts of the circuit. I've not seen the fans go out much, but the resister issues seem to be a common 2nd Gen issue.
