Spending that much, I'd think one would wait for what they really want.

Faster gratification by settling for something else. Nah. It's like marrying a brunette when you really want the redhead.

 

Great picture, and area! it's such a shame the hot colors are harder to find.

 

How does dust, grim and old rain look on these? Any swirl or paint issues?

 

Bought mine in September. I had a 22 in Lunar Rock and told myself if I could find a 24 Solar Octane in a base TRD Off Road package I’d make the jump.

I love my solar octane! It’s so much more vibrant than the previous inferno Toyota offered. You can’t truly appreciate the color until you see it in full sun and see the depth of the pearl!

 

The wife saw one, she liked it, we got one. She is happy and I am very happy.

 

Is this going to be a rare truck years from now? I’ve been interested in a Solar Octane 2024. I’ve driven through my local Toyota dealership every Sunday after grocery shopping and never saw one. Other Toyota dealerships I drive through and checked online randomly never had one either. And on top of that this thread only has a few posted with the color being removed for 2025. Is this going to be the ‘Copper Canyon’ of the 4th Gens?

I love this color, and I get a lot of compliments. But it's not for everyone, of course. I took a friend to lunch, and when he saw it he said "what... was this the last one they had?"

 

Base TRD OR 6MT - good value and fun to drive. Pretty cool to have a one-year color.

 

Yep, they are hard to find. When I was looking for a new one, the Toyota site didn’t show another TRD OR within 500 miles… ended up getting the last Blue Crush OR in the DFW area instead.
