    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Lol... nope, no evidence here. Just the shattered "shatter proof" glass.

And the (if you can call it a) truck with a 3500 pound payload that is sitting on the bumpstops with one quad in the back.

Do you always bitch and moan about things you have no clue about? Yes, the glass shattered... that’s obviously an error on someone’s behalf. However If you took the 5 minutes to watch the video you’d see the truck lowered the rear end to assist in loading the quad, then lifted right back up to drive height....

The quad has a ramp deployed, if you actually used your eyes you’d see the front suspension is elevated from ride height, the rear suspension is lowered from ride height, and there’s that thing called A RAMP, again.. not a diving board.

It’s squatting to unload, you pleb.

Agreed and they seem to copy the interior of the Tesla which is a solid choice

I got to say the Cyber Truck looks worse driving away than it does driving toward you. The hype has also left the building. This thing has earned itself a new chaper appearing before the Edsel in the book of automotive history.

lol 5 year old thread revival today the Cyber truck looks terrible? Hahahahahhaha…. Nice.

I’d actually consider buying one if and when the price comes WAY down. For now I have a Ford Lightning and it’s awesome.

Which electric truck do you buy if you are seriously considering an electric truck?

I guess the R1T and future Scout would be the most appealing in design. The Lightning is a true electric truck built on an existing truck platform bonus for looking like any other truck in the biglots parking lot.

What about the Cyber Truck and GMC Hummer pick up? Both are obnoxious looking on the road, both don't offee much more utility than a discounted XL Supper Duty 4x4. I do like the crab walk feature on the GMC, and it looks way better than the Cyber Truck. I know which one I would choose.

I forgot about the Silverado RST, it's kind of funny to see the RST being used as a fleet vehicle, only to see the employees who use them drive to work in a new Silverado diesel 3500.

I did see a VW Micro Bus at the dealership and on the road, maybe if the cargo version is sold in the US I might find that appealing.

Is the range on any of these vehicles acceptable to people?

Please while everyone is enjoying the holidays with their family ask them, Cyber Truck or GMC Hummer Pick Up?

I have a Lightning and it’s probably the most fun vehicle I’ve ever owned. It’s incredibly comfortable, quiet, and ridiculously FAST. It’s my 3rd EV, first was a RAV4 Prime, second was a Tesla Model Y and now the Lightning. These were all just commuter cars for me so they don’t need to do everything but comfort and efficiency is most important.

TBH the RAV4 Prime was far and away the smartest and most practical way for someone to get into an EV while still having gas as a backup.

I got the Tesla because I wanted an actual EV since I charge free at work it seemed more economical since with the Prime I had to charge at home also.

Since my other Vehicle is an F350 that holds a camper full time I really missed owning a truck that could do truck things…. So when the Lightning saw a major markdown, 75k window sticker but $20k off between incentives and rebates I jumped on it the day it saw the markdowns.

While I would not consider $55k a cheap truck by today’s standards it almost is…. If money was no object or costs came way down I’d consider a Cybertruck but to be honest living with the Lightning is really enjoyable and I’m likely going to hang onto it for a while unless a real deal comes along or I get the itch.

I don’t have the Chevy or Hummer but at over $100k it kind of defeats the purpose of an EV (to me anyway).

As a second car or commuter I love EV’s once you drive one regularly it’s very hard to get back into a normal ICE car, they feel painfully slow and are loud and buzzy in comparison.

As far as range goes my Lightning is an Extended range, and in the warmer months it gets over 300 miles without too much trouble. In the colder months however I’d say 200 is more realistic. Ive taken mine on several long trips and they definitely take longer but I haven’t found it to be trouble. Generally most highway rest stops where I travel have fast charging so if I’m going to stop and pee or get a coffee I just plug in for 20-30 mins and keep going.

Ford sent me the Tesla adapter for free so I have a pretty large charger network available to me. I also am a complete nerd when it comes to the electronics, it’s the engineer in me, so I carry a few cords and adapters to help me charge.

Final point that I think can get forgotten with some EV’s. They are MASSIVE battery banks…. My Lightning has 131 kWh’s the GM and Hummer are almost double that…. That’s more power than 10 Tesla power walls at half the price and you can drive it….

After I got my Lightning I wired a sub panel into my house that allows me to run 8 circuits (including my well pump) for up to 10 days off the truck…. That’s a pretty cool feature honestly…. I opted to do a manual panel rather than the crazy automatic one Ford offers for simplicity’s sake. The Lightning has a 240V 30a outlet in the bed that works just like a generator….

Bottom line buy what you like and if I was rich and just wanted the coolest one I would own a Cyberbeast but I’m definitely not spending 100k on a commuter vehicle. At least not at this point in my life. Hope this helps!
