It does just okay in tall grass. Much better suited for pavement, dirt and gravel. Although I had another rock get stuck in a wheel today.

The Black Friday deadbolt build is making a lot of progress. Meus axles links and wheels, Injora shocks, tires and inserts. Nsdrc servo and decased OEM esc. dasmikro receiver is on the way. Need to decide on an esc and motor and grab driveshafts for this as well. Have a cliffhanger body all trimmed ready for paint too. Tossed the old hard body on it for a photo.

I think you would be better off with something like the team associated reflex 14mt. About the same price (brushless vs brushless) and slightly bigger.

pic of comparison. Granite in the middle and reflex on the right.

I sure hope they do a brushless granite grom or something tall enough for the yard. The lot behind me has grooves in the dirt to hold seed/fertilizer I'm sure and the Mojave isn't quite big enough to handle them. Has the power to navigate not the tire height or clearance though

Helps having two small crawlers; I've only got the one and it's down cause I'm just waiting for parts :playball:

Thinking the SCX24 GX470 is gonna have to come sooner than later

The original red deadbolt has links servo and wheels and tires. It has been amazingly durable for me. That was my justification for buying the same Injora shocks in red and doing the research to find hexes that work better with the wheels. Beyond that I don't know I'll mess with it much more.

Right when I buy a Vanquish for myself, my beautiful, generous wife got me an Injora "Warn" winch, and new tires for the Redcat Gen8 I'm/was selling for my Vanquish Carbon kit build. Gotta love a woman like that!

    Rolling chassis.

Waiting on paint to cure again, see if I'm gonna spring for a new body and try that shit again. Cleaned it, warmed the paint, and ended up with orange peel. :annoyed: No pics.

I think I may do one more of these with the military truck and stop with that one, since it gets a flat camo paint job...eff this paint shit.
This Tundra body has roughly 40 tiny tweezer applied parts that are CA'd on...If I end up with another body, I'll glue that shit on and shoot the whole thing one color.

Finally finished the XV-02 Pro I bought In Japan. This is probably the most compact chassis I’ve ever built. It made stuffing the electronics in quite interesting. I had to even unsolder and flip the motor connectors to save space.

I also picked up a few upgrades:
    - universal CVDs for driveshafts
    - slipper clutch
    - aluminum bell crank arms
    - aluminum lower spring perches
    - ball diff up front

Can’t wait to run this thing soon! As usual the body was a PITA with almost 100 stickers and they didn’t all quite line up correctly but oh well.

Ordered myself a Redcat Ascent 1/18 today. I’ve been thinking about getting into a smaller crawler than my 1/10 Enduro. Really excited to see how it performs out of the box, and eventually to throw upgrades at it as needed.

I'm just into crawling right now but there's a Datsun 280z that might move me over the fence on to that. Same class I assume?

1:32 may be small, but the upgrade bling is the same cost as 1:10.
So now I'm looking at beadlocks because gluing tires sux.
    Orlandoo has their own set.
96 slotted screws, the size of a flea, hold the rings and wheels together.
    96
I'll be mixing the wheel on the right with the red rings.

    I'm liking the red!

Go look at what Vanquish does for wheels in the 1/10 world! Granted, machined in America, anodized to perfection, but guys are sell Limited Edition sets for $400 to $500. :anonymous:
