yesterday, the radio station i was listening to out of either ottowa or anchorage(i was jumping around in radio.garden trying to keep to work-music to keep me motivated. christmas music is not motivating) had the story of the tradition of how an angel ended up on top of the christmas tree. so i found it online for those that haven't heard it.

Bambu X1C. It’s absolutely fantastic. Best 3D Printer I’ve owned. I’m going on just over a year of ownership on it. No problem whatsoever. The AI failure detection is on point.

was that a recent-ish update? at least a few video reviews i watched said that the ai either didn't work, or wasn't fully released yet. that wasn't a major selling point for me, i'm mostly interested in the rest of the upgrades for the enclosed build area, and the increased capabilities from the hardened hot end. and not not feeling like i cheaped out on a lesser version...

have you tried any of the alternative build plates? a coworker got the p1s a few months ago, and the textured plate has amazing results, though he also likes doing things on the prismatic carbon fiber plate as well

I’ve only noticed the AI failure detection maybe 4 times in the last 4 months. And actually the 4th time was this afternoon. But compared to my ender and my snapmaker, failures are rare.

I’m on my original hot end still.

haven’t tried any other build plated yet, but I need to. I just bought some TPU filament and PETG HF to play around with.
I’m hoping the TPU worked will with making custom shaped o-rings and gaskets .

    1/8” and 1/16 endmills and a 0.05” drill.
I still need to go smaller. This was just a spur of the moment test run.
