New 5100's and the rebuilt rack n' pinion+ tie rods and all my issues are gone. Leveled, and steering feels like it did at 14k miles.

Today is the day. Gonna finally install the 3rd gen trd offroad suspension. Got rusty bolts to deal with.

You don't have rusty bolts to deal with unless that truck spent multiple years in Michigan winters.

When I moved from Michigan in 2016 I traded in my 2014 rusted out Taco for a new clean shiny frame! Hindsight, not sure it was worth it but I didn't want to deal with it.

We vacation in SC often and have family there. I worked on a 200,000 mile jeep that had zero rust. I was in love.

Cars here in Michigan often suck to work on after just 2 winters.

If it's any consolation, I had to fight my shock bolts on the tops due to rust, and it's a southern truck. It's seen off-road a good bit so I'm assuming that's why. Only 56,000 miles too

My truck was sold new in New Hampshire, so it has rusty bolts. The frame is spotless though. Got the front suspension done today, added headstrong 1/4" spacers on top, also put the 3rd gen take off upper control arms as well. Ended up with right at 1.5" lift over the stock 2nd gen base model suspension. Gonna do the rear tomorrow and take it in for a alignment Saturday. Oh yeah, I'm actually putting true bilstein 4600's on the rear.
