how deep can i put a 6.5 speaker??? what the max depth???

The correct answer to your question is, it depends.....

It depends on what thickness speaker adapter rings you use, and if you want to modify the inside the inside of the door panel.

The 6 x 9 Pioneer speakers I choose for the front needed an extra deep adapter ring, and I had to cut off about 1/4" off of the plastic ring from the inside of the door panel.

Get in touch with Mr. Marv (send him a PM), he has all the detail specs on speakers and can hook you up with exactly what you will need.

 

I used 1.5"+ adaptors and managed to fit a rain shield in too.

 

I didn't want to comment till I knew for sure but the depth from the outside of the door metal to the contact point of the window is exactly 2.25". I just measured it about 3 minutes ago with a crossbeam and a tapemeasure.

 

is all the tacoma like that??? they need a rain shield??? anyone got a template as a example???? mine was getting rusted from the rain that why............
