    I just "built " an SR5, almost $47K for basically picking an exterior color , a cargo cover and floor mats. No thanks, I willlook for a lightly used soccer mom 5th gen when I'm back to a point of being able to buy one.

    I don’t remember them being difficult but it’s been a couple years.


    maybe when all the soccer moms trade in for the latest and greatest it’ll saturate the used market and you can get a good deal.

    Go to Advanced or AutoZone and get a $5 plastic panel tool (metal one will scratch dash). Just gently get in between the dash and the triangular speaker grate… and pry up. I believe there’s two 10mm bolts holding each in. Pop speaker out and unplug. Then simply put it back together with new speakers.

    I think you’re just overthinking it… it’s easier than changing oil on these trucks!

    Always remember, if you’re ever doing something around an airbag and it is a concern… just disconnect the negative wire from the battery. Also, airbags don’t just go off for no reason. Unless you actually open the airbag compartment and start shorting out wires, nothing will happen.
