    Get well quickly.

Good morning. Off to Giant food to snag a non-spiral cut ham for a future smoke and then to gas up. We are off to Michigan at around 11 am with an overnight stay in Lordstown Ohio. Kind of nice not making the entire 10-hour drive in one day.

    Good morning all
Hope your feeling better soon Ken

Safe travels Tom. We just got back from visiting the two kids that live in Jersey and thats exactly what we do. Drive 6 stay overnight (usually in Virginia) and wake early and finish the trip. I don't mind the driving and, I like having my own car vs a rental. I just can't do the 12 hour drives anymore.

:santa::rain: Good morning Porch Pals & Sue! Glad to see lots of Christmas cheer and good food was had yesterday! I had a huge flare up in the smoker, and had to rescue a charred, but not cooked turkey! Wife completed the rescue cooking in the oven! Other than the parts we might use for sandwiches, it turned out very well. It had a VERY smokey taste!
Enjoyed having our son here, and new puppy's first Christmas! All three of us got him a Duck toy! Happy Mac!

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/holiday celebrants. Hope everyone had a good day. We 'celebrated' by keeping on the down-low and trying to make sense of the 49 pages of paperwork they sent us home from the hospital with. My analysis: it's the same thing, over and over. And over!

We started doing this a year or so ago. We have the time, and it's a much more pleasant drive, the interstates become optional, plus maybe there is someplace about halfway that has a nice B&B or a unique restaurant or something else interesting to spend time.

The last of our family, including the herd of locusts, just left and my wife and I have the condo mostly sorted. This was both a very enjoyable week and kinda rough; enjoyable because, family, kinda rough because during my trail run on Saturday I got tripped up by a "root-snake" hiding under leaves and even though I rolled, my ribcage landed on another root and I cracked a rib. I'm something of a veteran of broken ribs, but fortunately the last time was back in 1989, and yeah, having rib issues still suck, especially when I laugh or sneeze.

Well yesterday our laundry tub blocked up and almost overflowed. Left and went to visit with the family for Christmas. Got up this morning and it still haven't gone down. Couldn't get the snake past a certain point in the old galvanized pipe. So I got to remove the sink to make room so I could take it apart to feed the snake down the pipe. It was almost closed up. Yay I love plumbing work, not! So now back to playing in my wood shop.

    I hate yard work!

(Although a small part of me hates it less when it involves internal combustion.)

(Except string trimmers, which are the spawn of the devil.)

I have no problem but leaves.

I pray for large and long windy periods to handle this situation

I does involve one more word. Typically.

Go electric, my son! Quieter, and they always start. I sold all my spawn to unsuspecting yard warriors.

I don't dislike any kind of project as long as it conforms to my requirements.

    1. It doesn't cost me much.
    2. I see immediate progress and the end comes with no surprises.
    3. I can procrastinate and think about it for a few days.

It’s not the propulsion. It’s the string. Devils spawn.

I got the Ego that feeds itself. Before they introduced the one that does that AND feeds it back out. That makes life good!

That actually made me laugh. Sorry. Bad mental image!
