My OEM battery is still holding up after 2 years / 18k miles. I don’t have any issues with the current battery, however I’m going off to college in the fall so I might as well replace it this summer with one of the Optima Yellow or Odyssey batteries.

My wife’s 2019 Camry (bought new November 2018) battery went south at about 28,000 miles. Got about 2 1/4 years out of it. Covered by warranty.

My 2019 Tacoma (purchased new December 28, 2019) currently is about to hit the 29k Mark. Battery still seems to be A-Ok.

My 2021 is at 30K miles and according to the last diagnostics, my battery has about 70% life left. It is almost a 4 year battery, so I might just replace it this weekend. I’ve been thinking about this for a few months now.

I think that is smart. To me, getting stuck isn't worth squeaking another few or two months (maybe a dollar's worth?) out of it. Since the Tacoma and many other newish vehicles will not even attempt to crank under a certain voltage, there is little to no warning.
Given how small, powerful, long lasting and cheap the jump pack are,, there isn't much of reason not to have one. Especially isolating your vehicle from problems when helping others.

Just pulled the original out of my 2019 at close to 60k. It was starting to sound weak on startup the longer I left it and the colder it was. I snagged an Odyssey from napa with their holiday coupon. I had to flex the factory tiedown a bit to make it work even though I stayed with a 24F, it's a tiny bit taller. I'm planning on buying some stainless j-hooks and making a simple aluminum tiedown to replace it.

Batteries that live in colder climates will last longer but won’t put out as many amps. Also if you discharge a starting battery it shortens it’s life. I live in Utah and my average wet cell lead acid last about 5-6 years. I do check the water level every oil change. We have temps from 20F to 100F.

I bough my truck new 12/28/19. I figured it was a 5 year battery and was just going to change BEFORE it decide to die on me. Figured I would wait until after Christmas to do it. Last week we had very cold temps on Weds I went out to go to work it started but seemed funny. I below it off. Thursday morning it was off. By Friday I was lucky to get it started. So while at work I got a new Napa battery and replaced it. Now all is good once again.
Even though the original battery was reading 12.4 volts on the meter, its cold cracking amps seemed to have left it. 5 years was a good run

I got a better tiedown knocked out after work today. I went with stainless j-hooks from Powertrays and used a 9" piece of 1.5"x0.25" aluminum flat bar. No more wiggly battery for this taco, it is locked down.

Nice work but OEM works just fine for me.
Same as battery type, don't need no odyssey.

I bought my 2017 in August and battery only lasted a couple weeks before it went out. When I changed it it was the original battery from 2017. Lasted roughly 7 years.
