I sure hope the door speakers are that easy to install haha. Sounds great, just have to play with the sound settings now

Yeah, after I upgraded to the DS18 tweeters, it made the rest sound even more anemic. But still one of the best mods for the money on the non- JBL system

Did you recognize much difference in the bass or just the quality of the audio? I feel like at at lower volumes you can tell the difference, but at higher volumes the quality drops?

I did notice better bass at lower volume, as you said. Can't really comment on better bass at higher volume. But it definitely sounds better at any volume.

I can’t say they are “as easy”… but they definitely are not hard. They are about the same skill level as the tweeters, just a longer process. There are great YouTube videos of people replacing the door speakers. Videos are great because they show you where all the hidden panel screws are, and where to lift/pull from. Makes the whole process more peaceful to see it before doing it.

I highly recommend ordering a set of these clips. There are a ton of them along the door trim panels… and they push through into the door easily. Sadly, once in there, they tend to live there. I think I lost 3 or 4 of them. Plus, always nice to have extra on hand for whenever you may do something else in the future.

Doors are a pain only cause you have to take the entire panel off and it’s nerve racking the first time you do it. Then you’re like, this isn’t gonna break

I was able to get the door panel off without disconnecting the lock/unlock cables and the panel set on a bucket.

I think these will keep me satisfied for a while. Perhaps I'll change the deal to anytime cam or remote start. It would still be cheaper than the agreed bumper

Forgot about the cable… good call. Once I loosened the panel completely from the door, I turned the handle sideways and fed it back through the panel. The panel then laid on the grass while the interior handle dangled there on the cable.

I need to change out the alternator on the Taco, so no cars and coffee for me this time.

Next time more people are planning on attending (and I’m not out of town) I’ll try to make it again for sure. That was fun last time.

^ditto. The mix of gloomy weather and no familiar faces made it a no go this time

Wow, I guess I was the only one to make the Toyotas & Coffee meet. Definitely a cool range of Toyotas.
