When I added the RAV4 and removed the Terrain, our policy went up to $169/mo

That's 3 cars and 2 drivers with a few small claims on my end alone (two or three windshield claims and one theft claim)

Includes rental and towing assistance on two cars and only a $500/deduct for collision and $100/deduct for comprehensive

When the crankshaft sensor went out and got towed home

You have a stupid low rate, but like others mentioned just make sure you have proper coverage IE payouts in the event that you hurt others and/or damage property

But how do you not know who you go through

You should see about lowering comprehensive as cheap as possible (it shouldn't affect your rate much)

Comprehensive covers everything else outside of an accident like loss of goods from a break-in, even aftermarket components from a total loss as many times they aren't considered as part of your collision payout (some people don't even realize this, or make their claim incorrectly)

Other limits look good, except the personal injury protection? Wonder if the verbiage is different between different companies.

Oh no I just meant, what does that coverage mean with your insurance company.

Still, that's a great rate and coverage. Stick with them!

Right you just said ask them to lower the comprehensive

definitely sounds like I should stay, it'd Auto Owners Insurance also I guess. Doesn't look like there's a student discount actually, maybe be too old. But the home/ auto discount is there there

Comprehensive just cause it wouldn't hurt, as you can see you pay less than $10/mo at a $500 deductible.

Lowest mine goes is $100 deductible and I often let others know to bring it down as well since it would only make an annual difference of $40-100.

Break-ins are the worst and I don't wish it upon anyone, but if/when it does happen, it's nice getting comped back the shit you lost.

If you bought a $500 stereo and had a pair of $100 sunglasses, you might not make that claim with a $500 deductible for your comprehensive since the payout is only $100 and now you've got a claim made.

But if you had a much lower deductible, now the payout makes sense.

Coated the Seqouia in the magic goo. It was a god send to have a lift, couldn’t imagine doing this on the ground.

Poor thing. It gets to spend the rest of its life in the rust belt after being a California car for 23 years.

Fuck how old are you, 19?

    But real talk.

I don't know what your situation is regarding plans and shit. If you've got a good driving record though chances are your rate might be the same on your own, or even better after breaking that 25-26 year old bracket.

Plus driving an old truck like yours shouldn't cost much to insure.

Phoenix area insurance is fucking retarded though. That shit's massively expensive because of the amount of people crammed into the area and the amount of wrecks

The truck should be cheap, the car probably wont be

I wouldn't even go out on my own plan, except that my parents/their agent refuse to stop playing musical chairs with all the cars to get the lowest renewal.
No matter how much I bug them about it each renewal, they refuse to put my cars as driven by me ...
I think I'm the 'official' driver of my truck, but definitely not the daily. My name is no where on any documentation for the insurance on it. No idea what nightmare that would turn into if I have a large claim, especially when they find I live an hour and a half from the insured address.
I heard its because of the huge number of glass claims. Not sure if thats true or not, but my co-worker was getting his windshield replaced every like 3 months from commuting down the 60 from AJ to Tempe

I was just hoping for his own sake that he would have his own good rate because whatever he pays, is all based on the policy holders.

There can be claims, accidents, speeding tickets, etc that affect the entire policy.

Trying to be positive for my boy here

    Gotcha

You never bothered getting your own insurance before? I mean, just from the fact that you're not a named driver would suck if something happened and insurance tried to fight against you guys.

Out here you'd be covered, but every state is different with all that.

Remember, insurance adjusters' job is to help the company pay out as little as possible, not to mention settle as quickly as possible.
