    So while I am extremely happy with the 4runner, I must admit the front parking sensors are so dumb lol. Never in my life have I ever seen parking sensors that only detect left and right diagonal. I was parking in a spot that had a snowbank directly ahead and I kept slowly creeping forward expecting to hear the beeping and finally I just stopped because I felt like I shouldn't go any further. I put it in park and when I got out and looked, sure enough, I was actually pushing into the snowbank with my license plate. Isn't the point of parking sensors to tell you when you are about to hit something?! Lol I guess if I am afraid of hitting stuff when I park I need to pull in at an angle instead of straight on.

    Tundra was similar. They are more to prevent you from swinging into the vehicle(s) next to you as you turn into or out of a parking space.

    The front sensors are strange. Get within like 3’ and the corner ones go off. Front ones don’t even start til you are like <1’ away.

    My 4runner only has the corner ones. I noticed that when I first bought it but I just figured they did double duty but they in fact do not do double duty lol. It's simply does not beep no matter how close I am to anything that is directly in front, only on the corners.

    Honestly, a dream job of mine would be getting paid to beat the living snot out of vehicles. I know realistically I would need an engineering degree and it's not all just having fun, but it sure would be a blast to just drive vehicles like I stole them to get data and see what breaks and what doesn't.

    It's only recently my boss at work has stopped buying cheap ass Menards tools for us. He's like well. They have lifetime free replacement so if you break one I'll just replace it with a new one. And I'm like dude that's not helpful if I'm hanging 27 ft up in the air and I'm on my third screwdriver of the day.
