2017 4cyl 2WD SR here. Wondering what everyone is using for PS fluid. Couldn’t find recommended fluid at the store but found Valvoline High Mileage PS fluid, would this work?

Look on the cap of the reservoir.

I'll bet it says Dex 3 ATF.

Can either order from or go to a dealership to get Toyota power steering / atf fluid or use another power steering fluid. I wouldn’t use WS fluid like previously mentioned.

    Is the WS Dexron III?
Yeah, I don't get the WS either. If one wants to go the Toyota way the fluid part number is: 00718-ATF00. I believe the color is the same as what was stock, everything else I understand is going to be on the red side.

Or a Dexron III ATF is probably cheaper than either; IIRC my 00718-ATF00 was more expensive than either.

The 00718-ATF00 is red, the factory fill is a clear/brown.

Confirmed, the 00718-ATF00 is indeed red. Can we not get the original clear/brown stuff?

I don’t believe they sell it. But from what I understand, it’s the same stuff and is what Toyota recommends to use.

Toyota probably buys fluids in such quantities their supplier, with Toyota's consent, leaves out the FDC Red #40 dye, or equivalent in the oil market. If they can save a few cents, they will.
