the circuitboard in my washing machine has gone out twice in the last year and a half. At $275 a pop

I call those useless electronis in my general term "automatics" since they are the so called "control board" or "control module". I can try to repair some if they had the capacitor, transisrtor blown; however, when it get to the IC level of the circuitry, I have to donate the entire board and replace with new, which usually is quite costly.
