More work on the 1987 Pickup:

I had to include a photo of the puppers supervising for @dmurph1996.

I ordered and installed Wet Okole seat covers and cleaned the carpet.

This picture of the steering column shows a white arrow where the horn switch contacts the copper race. I added some dielectric bulb grease to the copper race. No more squeaky steering wheel when turning.
    IMG_6177.jpg

My cooling system was not working properly. The Temp gauge was still showing hot and the heater was not blowing hot air out the vents. The heater core was constipated. I went to Ace Hardware and bought a shutoff valve to attach to my garden hose and a female 5/8 inch hose mender clamp to attach to the heater hoses. I also bought a 2 stage thermostat from LC Engineering Performance.
    IMG_6171.jpg
I attached the garden hose to the outlet heater hose. I slowly opened the shutoff valve a small amount to hopefully avoid bursting a 37 year old heater core. The inlet hose promptly vomited brown matter into my catch pan.:puke:
I reversed the connections a few times to run water in both directions until the water was clean.
I disconnected the lower radiator hose and connected the garden hose to a heater hose that ran water into the block. Out came some more brown matter. I ran water until clean. I replaced the thermostat. I added a 50/50 mix of Toyota red anti-freeze and burped the system.
Now, after warm up, the temperature gauge reads just below halfway and the heater blows hot air out the vents. Yey!

Our family welcomes a new addition.
My daughter and her husband came out to visit from North Carolina with their 6 week old son, our first grandchild, Atlas:

Put some clothes on that kid! It's winter time and he can't be holding up the heavens if he's shivering.

The little red truck is 3" lift on 35s. 21.5" to the frame. Darby is at 25" to the frame. The red truck used to tower over Darby.

Haven't taken much progress photos. But knocking out maintenance, fastest timing belt I've done!
Finally boxed the rear, got the gas tank lift done. Cut old body mounts off. And toying with a new crossmember, still not 100% how I want to do it. Hoping to have the new cab on this week.

This year, we'd have to do a fall run, I'd need alllll the help from yall to glue my axles on that soon.

I cant get started with this until the basements finished. And I'm projecting April may for that.

You ran Pritchett on 35s? I just read the write up on the canyon. Looks adrenalizing.

    Yes.

Had to winch rocker knocker and rock pile.

Cleared everything else and didn't break anything (minus a mangled driveshaft). Would like to try for a clean run, but that's a tall ask without bigger tires.

Trying to get the shock/bumps dialed in. I'm managing to stroke more than 12"s of shock out of the 63s in the back. I put short body 14s in the rear and moved the 12s to the front. The front won't stroke 12". This new revision should work. Front range is doing the driveshaft again tomorrow. I'm hoping to do a shake down next weekend and Chinamans Jan 11th
