I'm looking for the Toyota PN for the bed rail T nuts. I know there are a million people selling them online with a 3/8-16 thread, but I want to keep the OE thread size- M8?; and for whatever reason, apparently no one makes them. I don't want to change hardware and carry a dedicated socket for two stupid bolts.

So, does anyone know the Toyota PN for this? I probably spent 30 minutes looking for it online on various OE parts diagrams and found the rails, and hardware, but not the hold down rings or T-nuts. I just need the T-nuts.

    TIA!

As far as I’m aware Toyota has never made OEM t-nuts for the rails. It’s all aftermarket.

I bought my truck new, there weren't any dealer additions, and only three factory options. It came with a large plastic D shaped tie down on each side that you could slide up and down the rail, moving the T-nut with it. It locks in place with a center plastic thumb screw that tightens an integral steel screw into the T-nut, which has an M8 thread. Was this not a factory part? If this was common aftermarket in the US, I'd think there'd be no issue with finding an M8 threaded one on someplace like Amazon or Ebay.

Thanks. I'm a huge fan of McMaster, but before I spend ~$10 each on them I may just modify what I made, which is a 1" wide X ~1" long, X .25" thick piece of steel bar with the M8 thread tapped in the center. I just need to weld a large nut, or similar, to the back to make it easier to start the fastener into the bar. I was in a rush when I made them last summer and didn't do it like I should've. They function just fine, but it's a PITA to start the fastener into them. It's not something I'm doing often, but it'll be worth the time or $20 to have something that works better.

You need them for the factory plastic tiedowns? Or are you using them for something else?

If the former, do you know the tiedowns come out in one piece with the nut? You just have to rotate them the right way.

The “nut” component of the OEM bed tie down cleat isn’t a separate part number. It’s all one piece. Toyota doesn’t sell just a bed rail nut by itself.
