Just drove by the biggest JOKE of a dealership, Koons… and out front they have a new white Pro Tacoma and a new TrailHunter Tacoma in white also. Didn’t even bother looking, I’m sure they are full MSRP. Wouldn’t surprise me if that crooked place threw an additional $5k fee on top of sticker price!

    Morning all

That’s probably to just get you on the lot then all the “extras.” Though they did have a sport with something like a 7k big truck update.

I’m trying to talk my wife into a trip up there to check out the pro. So far only dirty looks and an annoyed wife

Have y'all heard of getting a second alignment after the shocks are broken in? My truck has been swaying pretty drastically around 75 mph. I want to default to just not used to the suspension with heavy wind yet, but I cant imagine the lift would be so normalized if everyone had to white knuckle it at highway speed/ moderate wind.

Once it’s installed (correctly… too soon?) and then it’s aligned, you shouldn’t need another alignment. Unless something is loose?? I know it’s a bit windy out, but truck shouldn’t be all over the road to the point of white knuckles.

If you think something is wrong, I’d definitely get it back to shop ASAP! Explain to them what’s going on and they should put it back on lift and check it for you. Only takes a few moments to check 12 bolts on the suspension and then check the alignment bolts. If they tell you it’s all tight, ask them to check the alignment again. Sadly, it is possible that they did it wrong.

Was it driving fine before the wind and all??

:rofl: not too soon at all, learned from that mistake (knock on wood ). White knuckle may be an exaggeration haha, more so just having to using both hands on the steering wheel. He said he will look at it but doubt anything is loose unless there's noise coming from it. Suggests another alignment since "when the suspension settles, it's common the angle can change." I checked the tires this weekend and was running 32 psi all around.

Too much castor or camber, can’t remember which one can cause “loose” steering. Maybe @Bishop84 knows? I can’t remember if he’s good with alignments… I think I read him posting about them recently. Maybe it was someone else

i don’t think those numbers are too high. How about your tire pressures? If they are too low it can get squirrely at higher speeds.

Is that location next to the silver Diner or the KK behind the Mission BBQ ?

LOL.. I was *this* close to getting FAP'd out to there ( from Delmar) then Desert Shield/Storm happened.

That's a pretty good alignment, someone spend some time to chase those numbers down.
