It was super cold today (60) and super gloomy essentially raining mist today. Didn't ride moto today yet cus #SoCalPansy.

Currently working on the xt225 to put it back into "street mode" cus my buddy wanted to ride legit dirt 2.5months ago and it was a great experience for him on the xt225 with proper dirt tires and stripped of all extra stuff! But damn I have missed it for my round towner.

But I did ride the MTB. And it was GREAT dirt but super PNW like wet, was soaked by the end of the ride. It counts cus it's got a motor right?

Got the xt225 together, needed an excuse for a ride longer than around the block, off to the watering hole for a beverage.

Gdamn I missed this lil thing. Might have to add grip n seat heaters to make it through the frigid winter. There were moist spots on the asphalt, I was scared.

The razor goes 37 mph in the dirt. We were using a radar gun.

Its fun to mess around on, not so good in the rocks. The tires aren't very good and the low height doesn't help. But any dirt is fun. Played with it on the mx track and pee wee track. I wasn't the most comfortable since I was wearing knee guards which were limiting room.

For y'all guys that run tubes in your motos.

How often do you change tubes (that aren't punctured)?

I'm about to do a tire swap on my wr450 that has probably 120hrs and 7yrs on the current set of UHD tubes (with countless tire swaps, always using cornstarch to prevent chaffing). But I'm thinking I might spend the 60$ for some new UHDs front and rear for peace of mind.

This is predicated on me puncturing a freaking tube spooning on the front tire on the xt225 and having to use my backup tube from my dirt bike flat kit. I was SOOOOO pissed cus right when I wrenched on that tire iron I felt it... It was the LAST lever to have the tire on too.

I only changed them when they were getting thin or the valve stem was getting crusty

Did half of the decals for the 701SM and think I might leave it as-is..

Motorcycle related because my bike is in the pic... but I sold my 4Runner, traded in my Mazda and apparently we are an all black on black family now. It's the first time in about 15 years that I no longer own a Toyota of some kind. A week in, I have no regrets, as much as I love Toyotas, their current offerings are just underwhelming to me. 20241222_100106.jpg

I'm still awful at recognizing bikes but I see 2 pipes on an MT looking bike it makes it an MT07 right?

Yeah, it's a 2016 so still FZ-07 at that point but same, same.

Post was more about the new F-150 though since I've had the bike for a couple years. There was discussion in this thread a couple months back where it seems a number of us have made the jump in recent years.

I did something similar this year. Turned my toyota lease back in and walked away. Paid of my motorcycle Purchased a used F250 and never looked back. It's a beast of a truck and the fuel mileage isn't much worse than the taco. It carries more, tows more, is comfortable, and doesn't constantly hunt for gears on the highway. And it doesn't have a stupid cartridge oil filter! Toyota isn't what it once was.

I was excited when I saw another '24 F150, but you didn't get the Coyote. I am alone. :pout:

Yeah, the mileage and towing capability with the powerboost was just too much to pass up.

Eh, there's only a major difference in city MPG, which I don't really do, and the better MPG while towing with the V8 are bonuses for me. I don't tow heavy enough to need any more performance out of it, and I really wanted the V8 sound again. Downside: I'm probably going to have to get a better exhaust for it.

    You have plans for yours?

Only if the valve stem is damaged or crusty tbh
Good looking truck you go with the 3.5?

    Not a 24 but I went to a 17 f150 and love it!

Hey hope everyone's doing well, I've been stressed lately so not posting much but still riding often as I can. I changed the oil and air filter in the SDR then went for a ride yesterday. Temps were mild but roads were wet so the back tire kept wanting to spin. Crossed a cool bridge near the PA/MD border, saw a few eagles soaring over the river, odometer hit 10k miles just as I was getting near home...

I'm not opposed to boost. I'm just opposed to boost being needed to do the job. Trust me, I drool thinking about putting the SC on my truck. I just don't want to spend the money on it. I should start a go fund me for it.

PSA! Get your shingles vaccination. You do not want it.
It’s still getting worse but here are pics from today which is day 4 of when the redness started. The worst part is that it’s in my armpit. Hurts so bad. If you have not had the vaccination I am sure you will after seeing the pics. It’s still getting worse. I did get an anti viral med and a nerve blocker pain pill from the doc but it only cuts pain a little. Worst than kidney stones. IMO
