If they cover everything you wont get to enjoy the total loss part.

It is always a good idea to keep it covered whenever there is a risk.

I'd rather not pull any money from my investments to restore everything back to as normal as I could have been o_O

Im just messing with you; I'm a minimalist when it comes to insurance, but I'm also an idiot so there's that to consider.

Oh I know. It was an extra $100 a year for an additional $60,000 in coverage so not out of this world. I could cover that out of pocket, but I'd rather not o_O

I'm always searching for ways to lower my premiums. :anonymous:
In 30+ years of marriage we've switched insurance companies 7-8 times because cheap. :anonymous::anonymous:

If that 60,000 was in pennies I could cover it out of pocket. :anonymous:

I've looked into switching before, but my current carrier has always been cost effective for the coverage. Guess it depends on location :notsure:

Search for independent agents, they can shop around multiple companies for you.
My current insurance, this is my third time with them. :anonymous:

Rates go up, I leave. New place; rates go up, I leave. Back to old place; rates go up......

Obviously rates will always go up, but I tend to get kinda pissy when vehicle rates jump up quite a bit yet the value of my vehicles are steadily declining.
A house...I kinda understand that. But not a car.

Sooo, I re-read this. Not totally "out of pockets" but it would take away some investments, but wouldn't leave me totally hung to dry. I don't have that much "cash" but keep investments for the future.

Good afternoon friends! Hope Monday is good to you all :hattip:

Been running around all morning, finally made it home with new air filter, cabin filter, battery, etc.

Things got nutty when I removed the air filter.

    upload_2024-12-30_12-25-45.jpg

The cabin filter, may be original. It’s slam packed and VW.

    upload_2024-12-30_12-26-35.jpg

This photo doesn’t do the “slam packed” justice. A lot of the debris fell in the floorboard since this one goes in vertically.
