I'm a Garmin fan as well, and have an instinct crossover solar.

Not an important feature to everyone, but I love the fact that it doesn't look like a smartwatch at a glance, yet it still works great for tracking rides.

I love my Garmin watch. It’s a cheap Vivoactive 4, and has kicked butt for me. Marathons, MTB, gym and just daily use. When mine kicks the bucket I’ll probably get the solar Fenix.

I like my Garmin Fenix. It’s fairly large though but does its job well. The Apple Watch I’m sure works well but won’t integrate easily with other applications. Garmin connects to the GPS which also talks to Strava easily. It also stopped working once and Garmin replaced it, easy peasy. I don’t know anything about the Forerunner but I do like Garmin stuff in general.

Is anyone using a 1Up *single* and can post a pic of the backup camera view on the screen with the rack up and down (no bike)? Curious to see how obstructed the view is compared to my double/triple which completely blocks the view when up/unloaded. Thinking i might convert to a single if the view is clear enough.

Great suggestions so far by everyone. I went into best buy yesterday looking at display models of the Garmin watches and they seemed kind of flimsy and cheap. Maybe those are just the demo models. Seems like everyone above has no problems.

I upgraded to a venu 3 earlier this year. Definitely not the most rugged one as I wanted an everyday watch over an adventure one, but the new Fenix should be super nice with a replaceable band. The older Fenix 7 is still a great watch. The epix is replaced by the Fenix 8 also and still checks tons a of boxes

I have a single and an add on. It is much easier to see with just the single than with the double add on. The single makes every day driving not terrible, can't see shit with the second one added. I'll try to remember to take a pic of it tomorrow.

I've got a single. Out of town and don't have it with me so can't get a pic. Obviously it doesn't block the view at all when down. When it's in the up position there is slight blockage. Visibility is still great for backing up to something like a wall or another vehicle. At home I line up the camera view with the spot where floor and back wall meet. This gives me 1" between truck and garage door, and just under 2ft between rear bumper and wall. With the 1up in the up position the camera looks down enough that the tray lines up almost perfect with floor/wall junction. So that should give you an idea how far down it looks.

I have a FENIX 6 Saphire, been using it for a couple years now. I'm not super techy so it does just fine for me. The Saphire crystal is amazing, not one scratch, looks brand new and i wear it to work daily also...

    not enough.
might be the demo models and being super worn. you can always get different bands to suit your preference. my girlfriend and my sister both have garmin watches and both have been super solid. My sister has one that's probably close to 8 years old and it's still going mostly strong. Battery's starting to show age but, no surprises there. They've done everything but swimming with those watches. hahah.

Anyone have experience with Lolo racks?

I'm building a rear door cargo carrier for my van; basically a DIY version of one of these. I will be mounting my bike rack on to the cargo carrier so that I don't need a hitch rack anymore. This will allow me to freely swing open the rear doors and the rack/bikes will swing with the door. I've seen versions of this with two rack options mounted... 1up and Lolo racks. I know and trust the 1up option but it's at least twice as expensive as Lolo Racks. I'm wondering if anyone has used a Lolo rack and has any experience with how secure they are, damage to handlebars, ease of loading, etc.?

Does the second pic show the bikes mounted by handlebars and saddles? Or is it a weird angle.

my neighbor has the same setup in the top pic and likes it.

Yea (mostly), the bikes are hanging by handlebars and rear wheel. Here's a side angle:

I’d prob trust the wheel mount more. And the bikes swing less. At least that’s my take based on DH shuttle vans.

Yea, I'm leaning toward the 1up but the price difference has me questioning if it's worth it. I haven't read any bad review of the Lolo racks though and it's a much simpler setup in a lot of ways too...

Kind of bright out there but the single covers most of the area under the red line. Pokes out a little in the middle

    not enough.

if you're inclined, yakima has new ones that are similar to the lolo racks. could drop by rack-n-road and see if they have one you could look at.

That's not actually terrible. My double renders the camera pretty much useless. I assume the trays on the single block the parking sensors also (if you have that option)? I'm not actually sure what sets the warning off, the sensor or the camera (my early 2nd gen had none of that).
