I have my share of cheap tools but they aren't ones I use a lot.
If you use them regularly they have to be solid.

My tundra calls the sensors SONAR. Gave them a shot for a while but they were not helpful so thankfully I was able to turn them off. May try to do the same. I don’t like relying on tech anyways. Though the backup camera is great for hooking up for towing.

    No u

But in all honesty, the Phillips tips keep breaking off in screw heads and it's annoying AF

Although recently I've lost some DeWalt impact tips because I guess nobody makes quality anymore. And we're not using Milwaukee fuel drivers here, I'm using the DeWalt belt hanging sized impacts. But that's enough to break their own bits

Exactly. That's why certain tools at the auto shop I paid good money for the good stuff for.

With age and experience, you realize that there are times when better tools are worth the extra money.
With more age and experience, you often realize that it applies to almost everything.

Cheap tools usually have ended up causing me more work when they strip out whatever I’m working on

I don't even go then...just means I'd have to go there again and buy more Menards shit. They got me the first time they had their 11% rebate. When I found out it wasn't really a rebate, just a discount on future purchases, that was the last time.

I think the ones on the Pilot are the same. The rear ones beep constantly while backing out between my truck and the edge of the garage door, even when there's no danger of hitting either one.

Sonar. Ultrasonic. Same thing only different frequency.
Ultrasonic, like I use on the presses, have more precision than sonar but Idk that the narrower path in Ultrasonic is better for automotive.
I mean...Larry's crashing into snowbanks, ffs.

I'd like to think they have automobile solutions? Haven't checked but we use SICK sensors. Ultrasonic, Ultraphoto, photoelectric and proximity sensors.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Did a neat little mod today after work. As the driver I have literally no need whatsoever for a grab handle but I do have a need to keep a second pair of sunglasses in the vehicle for when I may have a passenger who forgot theirs or if my main pair gets lost or broken.

You know, I kind of decided I wasn't going to get a headrest garbage because I can't imagine a passenger would want a garbage directly in their line of sight, but you posting the link made me rethink and while there are definitely are occasions where I have three passengers, usually it's no more than two passengers plus myself so on the occasions where I do have three passengers I can just take the garbage off and set it on the floor or put it in the way back.
