I thought I had an old video but I can't find it. Everything looks great, those bolts just need to be trimmed flat with the top plate. They still serve a purpose in the hole to help keep the tray from moving laterally. Everything else looks good!

Edit: The second mounting bolt is backwards too. flip it so the threads are facing up and the lock nut will keep it in place.

Did you ever go this route? I was thinking the same thing. I don’t need dual batteries but this seems like a great way to take the weight off the core support while keeping the battery under the hood.

Maybe I missed the post, were these ever tested to fit a 3rd Gen OR? I'm interested in it. I won't be putting a Bussman there though, was planning on putting a solar controller.

Hey guys, which cooper bussmann rtmr fits these? I'm assuming 15303-2-2-4
Also which 80 amp breakers fit these?
Specific part numbers would be awesome. I'm a little confused by the links posted by iggy, I already bought one breaker only to have it not fit.

@Iggy Do you have this set-up available for the 2020 OR? I would like to do something similar with group 27 size batteries.

No these only work for a few specific 2nd Gen models to get a group 27 vs a smaller group 34. If you’re ok with a 34 Off-Grid Engineering makes a good kit.

Has anybody been able to figure out a solution where two batteries are located on the passenger side? I'm wondering if it's possible to shoehorn two in there somehow, perhaps using a different group size with different geometry? I want to do this to move more weight to the passenger side. I wheel solo a lot and so without a passenger and the heavy awning I have on the driver side along with the battery, my truck leans to the left more than I like. Hoping that I can move the OEM battery to the other side somehow.
