The whole family thing just sounds like someone took having a tax haven and made it worse on every level

Some crazy flu shit going around, my sister and her whole family had it then somehow thought it was still a good idea to visit my mom for xmas who is now really sick, and was supposed to come see us for a few days today. Shit stops with her, no thanks I don't want any of that lol. Will probably end up getting it anyway once Sofia's school starts back up next week.

 

Wife, what? A buddy got married after 7 years and 7 kids.

 

why do people do this to themselves, we aren't living in pre-modern medicine times anymore - kids don't have a high probability of croaking before turning 12 like they used to. Unless you're running a farm and need the free labor I guess

Yeah I don't either. But I get the feeling of how it sucks to change holiday plans at the last minute. The last time we went up to Oregon to visit my brother and my dad, my brother's daughter got sick right before they left to be with us at the rental house. They were going to back out but we said F it come anyway, we haven't seen all of you guys at once in a couple years so we'll take the risk. But that was something we agreed on.

Surprisingly with that 4 year old hacking up and sneezing all weekend, none of us caught it. Was probably something we had gotten earlier in the year already I guess.

 

That was in the 70s. Nowadays, just transporting a family of 9 turns into needing a bus.

I've been fighting this battle with my staff at work. I have had instructors show up to work sick. They don't want to go home because they need to work but they end up just passing the plague around.
