    Your Welcome

The fee is just another way of raising the cost.

If it's done online now, do they still send out some type of notification?

All of ours last year I received a postcard and I mailed in with a check.
I didn't know if they changed the way of doing it.

Well, State Law states that the fee is "x", that's what the State Departments have to collect. Credit card companies charge a 2 1/2% or 3% transaction fee, which isn't built into State Law, so they have to charge the payee that fee and call it a "convenience fee". Regular businesses have that fee built into their price up front. Banks don't charge transaction fees for clearing checks, I suppose that's built into the cost of banking.

So, if you pay by check at the local store, you're getting charged that 'fee' even though the seller doesn't have to pay it.

Sometimes you can do a debit card or echeck to get around it. Although in Iowa they still charge you like $.50 for it..

There’s plenty of places that charge far more for “convenience”… Ticketmaster is more like 20-50% above the ticket price.

I pay online for all my vehicles every year. You can enter in a check routing and account number and no extra fees. Done. Reminds me I have one sitting on the counter for my Odyssey.

Saw my 1st cybertruck on the way home. (other than pics)

Giving the benefit of the doubt that photos don't serve justice, however, in this case they do.

Has to be thee most ridiculous vehicle I've laid eyes on.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Yeah, often I will see a picture of something and I don't like it but then I see it in person and it's not so bad. With the cyber truck, it looks just as awful in person.

Jealous... I want to be fishing!

Instead I'm just shopping for fishing gear. New pliers, jig case and a cordless drill 8" auger. I spend less money when I'm busy fishing, dammit.
