    Hello Guys.

I wanted to reach out and see if anybody has done the Icon diff drop kit ?

I installed it today, followed all the instructions and my driver side axle was higher then my passenger one by about 1/2 an inch. ( See pictures)

Upon finishing the install I drove it and was getting loud vibrating coming from the driver side. I un installed it and reinstalled and same thing. From what I can see there is a support that is on the K member that I believe doesnt allow the driver side to go down enough. Not sure if Icon neglected to see this?

Long story short. I took the kit of and reinstalled stock supports and vibration went away. So far my opinion is this kit is garbage !

    Thoughts?

Original thread had mistakes on the title and the platform wasn't letting me fix it. So yes. I reposted a new one.

Thank you for that thread. But there isn't any good info on that thread. I've reached out to OP but he isn't responding to my questions. All thought I do assume that the diff drop kit he had was what caused this failure. I luckily caught the vibration and am very mechanically inclined and new the sound was not a good one.

Yes. I will do that. Just want to see if any other guys have experienced this.

I honestly have not see too many guys putting lifts on yet. Seems most are getting results from level/spacer kits and bigger tires.

I had the wescott collar kit for 2 weeks. It was garbage. It made the sound with the collar kit also even louder too. From my own troublehooting. I believe it's the axles sliding in and out which king said eas normal. I offroaded 3 days in a row this weekend it made the sound every time I fully articulated the suspension. I just ignored for the time being. But I will figure it out.

Second thread I've seen on 4th gens with CV's being too short after a lift and issues with Icon's diff drop kit. Although, that other thread with 8k miles claims the diff drop was installed incorrectly with missing hardware/bolts.

Curious to hear of a resolution on this one.

I'm not sure why other guys aren't noticing what Iam. I'm a mechanic by Inheritance of my father that owned a shop for 30 years. It's not my profession but I damn well know. That the sound it makes while going into a driveway or the sound it made when I installed the ICON diff drop is not normal!

About the missing bolts with the 8k miles truck. I honestly think he's not telling the truth. Bases on my experience with the front diff. You would not have been able to even go 1 mile without noticing a loud vibration. I installed my properly and within 1 mile when I reached 30 miles an hour the vibrating was loud. And my diff drop kit was installed properly. To the T of Icons instructions. Every bolt installed and torqued to spec

Yes. I am going to reach out to Icon. This all happened 1 day before a planned trip to explore the offroad areas of Big bear. So I spent the night taking the Icon kit off. But I will reach out to them.

Yes. I installed it my self. It's not rocket science. I have built multiple vintage motorcycles and classic cars. I know how to install bolts and torque them properly. As well as follow instructions. This Icon kit is garbage! I will reach out after the holidays and ask for a full refund. If they refuse. I will request to have thme personally install the kit and show me how it's supposed to work. I'm only 45min from them.

No. I installed the Icon kit hoping it would get rid of the clunking but it made it worse.

What do you have on your truck ?

Yes I watched this. But what else was supposed to be done with the angle of the CV axles on the 24. The play that a lift causes makes a thumping/clunking whole entering a driveway. All thought the tinkerer says it's not good. Then what am I supposed to do. Just live with this sound ??
