Does the tubing that goes in the bottom of the rear window have flat pieces on each end? If yes, you have the correct brackets.

If the tubing is completely round from end to end, then these are the wrong brackets.

I have both styles on 2 different trucks. I don't think either one is better than the other.

Do you mind sending me a picture of the correct one. I'm not sure what you mean on which tubing. Are you talking about this

That is the correct back window tube for the brackets you showed. The flat part on the tube slots into the fork on the brackets. The fork on the bracket will slot between the male snap and the tube body.

My truck with that style is in the shop a 100 yards behind the house and I'm in my pajamas in the house.

I can snap a pic tomorrow, but I think you will figure it out before then.

You don't want to put that on with it cold. I ended up putting a heater inside the bed. I finally got it so snapped

Yes that’s correct. Your fingers are going to hate you. Get a second person to help snap if possible. You pull they snap.

The metal bracket with the rounded rod isn't going to work on my tacoma. It sticks out too far so water can get in the edges where it sticks out. The flat one with the plastic would workba lot better

Just had a bit of a revelation regarding my soft topper. Figure I'll share it here. Maybe someone cares. Had my topper for 6 years. It shrank. I haven't been able to button all the snaps for almost 2 years. Broke one of the snaps trying to force it so I quit. Been riding around with 4 unsnapped on each side a long time.

Solved the problem today. It was stupid easy. Can't believe it took me this long to figure out.

I just unscrewed the snap pieces that are attached to the aluminum railing mounted on the bed of the truck. Then, pulled the fabric piece down to where it "wants" to be...then drilled a hole and screwed the snap piece into the new hole.

First I snapped shut as many snaps as would work without forcing them. THen, starting at the first one that wouldn't stretch I moved the snap on the rail to where the piece on the canvas wanted to naturally fall. Went down the line and moved them all. The last one I had to move over an inch. It's crazy how much it shrinks.

Easy fix. Took no time. Just drill a hole the size of the one you take the screw out of. Self tapping screws. Just screw it back in with phillips screw driver.

Looks like new. Fits perfect. Everything works.

This is my first poast in years. Topper is on my 2006 access cab Prerunner...
