Speaking of… I worked Hwy construction for a number of years and helped out the finishing crew a number of times. They had this concrete vibrator that was essentially a big motor pack that you wore as a backpack and a large sleeve that lead to an end that looked like an oversized cucumber. It’s designed to go into forms and make the air migrate to the top. (Mostly guard rail walls). They called it “Yer Mom’s Vibrator”.

 

I watched the documentary on the crowd crush that happened in Seoul back in 2022. It kinda affirmed my limits on crowd size. There's plenty of other things to do besides be surrounded by thousands of strangers who are shoulder to shoulder.

 

I got caught out in a few anti/government protests in foreign countries
It was mildly unsettling so that was the final nail in the coffin of me going out to crowded things
