And you're damn right. I'm a little dude so a 1st Gen fits me freaking perfect.

Stephanie actually said earlier today when she saw one "oh just like your old one! You should get one again" and it's been in my head since this afternoon :bananadead:

ahhh I've been poking at it but haven't been doing much. the front end is torn apart, swapping big brakes from an IFS 4runner on with the IFS hubs to increase the front track width a bit. Not sure why, I originally started this to run a different set of wheels but now I'm not sure I want em lol

I got too many irons in the fire, I need to figure that shit out lol. been making little progress on a bunch of projects in parallel and getting nowhere fast

Ashs jeep is also in the shop, did coolant system work, fixed a broken key, replaced the rear brakes and wheel cylinders but haven't bled them...
need to do some fuel system stuff on the Ford..
there's about a million things the Tacoma needs, and I have that d44 HP torn apart..
still haven't finished gutting the Sentra parts car..

and probably a bunch of other shit I have forgotten lol

    No balls you won’t

Finally getting around to actually getting started on that though. Been lazy and thought gf wouldn’t want the garage spot until at least end of the weekend, but she moved quick on the car so had to get started on the swap tonight. Spent all evening at the dealer so I only managed to get it up on stands and wheels off.. probably get the old axle out tomorrow evening, and other one in on Saturday.

my stands aren’t tall enough to have the leafs relaxed and tires still on and off the ground so it’s going to be a fun time juggling between my two furniture dolly’s and tires to move the damn things around. Maybe should hit the gym again cause god damn these things are heavy

Leaf packs aren't even heavy :luvya:

Yeah when I'd pull them, I found 4 jackstands to be super helpful.

I'd put 2 under the frame (tall ones, really high) and 2 under the axle housing.

    Least you're getting it done!

Yeah thats how I did the leaf swap (with my 4 medium sized stands), can't have 2 stands under the axle housing when I'm pulling the whole axle though :luvya:

Plan right now is to disconnect brakes, ds, parking brake etc. Then throw the jack under the diff, remove the Ubolts, and hope and pray the axle balances on my one jack while it lowers down to the furniture dollys. Then I gotta move it out, jack it back up somehow to put some tires on it to free the dollys, jack the 'new' axle up and remove the tires from it and lower it onto the dollys, and push it under the truck.

Gonna be a pain in the ass and I'll probably throw my back out by monday

Reading this makes me want to venmo you the price of some 6-ton jack stands.

I don't think it'll be too bad though. You can probably do the axle one side at a time instead of trying to balance it, but even balancing probably won't be too bad. Ratchet straps can be your friend for keeping things in line.
