I struck a deal this evening for a 24 Ford RR. Traded the 2023 LR TRD OR 6 mt for it. I am loving it so far, but hopefully I will not miss the bulletproof Tacoma very much! Fingers crossed. I still have my 4R TRD Pro, so not gone from the Toyota scene all together. The Raptor is a totally different beast all together from the Tacoma. It is going to take a little time to get used to all the gismos compared the fairly stripped Taco.

The rangers look small. How does the interior size compare to the Tacoma?

Inside is a about the same except the rear where the Ranger has a little bit more leg room. The seats are def better on the Ranger.

I was curious when Ford decided to bring the Ranger back to the North American market. But they are missing a key option that I still prefer in my trucks... the third pedal.:burnrubber:

Good luck and enjoy the new truck :hattip:

Manual Taco to a Ford white truck?

I hear you man! Thanks I appreciate it. The one thing that I really had a hard time letting go was "the third pedal" I think I might be tearing up a little as I type this. The Raptor's auto tranny is pretty damn good thank God! It still feels kind of surreal that after buying four Tacoma's in the last 15yrs, I am now back into a Ranger after having just a few.

LoL! Hey I always have loved my white trucks, but never had one due to the shitty flakes of white pealing off the Tacoma's. The manual thing prob will always bug me until the day I die. Also, got a killer deal on the Raptor! $2500 off MSRP, a great interest rate, and a fair trade in value for the Taco. No bullshit deal! Decided it was time to pull the trigger.

Congratulations! Enjoy your new truck and keep us posted on any recalls or problems that arise (especially engine/ transmission related).

Honestly, out of all the halo trims of the 3 newest midsize trucks, the Ranger Raptor is the one I'd pick, then the ZR2/Bison, then the TRD Pro/TH. 65k is just absurd and I've always wanted a raptor (but only a raptor from Ford and nothing else other than a 2dr Bronco 'squatch). I'm not loving the TNGA-F trucks from Toyota at all except maybe for the GX.

You'll be back... You haven't had a 4th gen yet, and then the 5th gen comes out pretty soon after that. Na, congrats! There is a great feeling that goes with that new vehicle feeling.

Just in case you're interested look into MPT, More Power Tuning. A simple emailed tune will get you some legit numbers on those engines.

but sweet looking rig. All the best and we’ll see you in 18 months.
