All right, it must be a sweet place to work.

 

First day back to work and I did nothing productive until the last hour

 

Well, it was a day...

Just about 2 hours at the VZN store, fortunately I got an excellent fellow who set my new phone up, put the screen protector on and worked the numbers & promotions so I ended up with a free phone and unlimited data (had 4 GB before) for about $10 more per month.

The bad part, aside from the hefty bill, is all my contacts & stored notes, etc are gone...
The only number I (barely) remember is Mrs Greens.
Fortunately I still have my old phone and could read some of the numbers and manually type them in however I have added a lot of new numbers in the 7 years I had the last phone.

The oldie, Casio G'zOne type V, it was great, you could just about make calls from a steel vault with it.


The new phone is a Samsung S24FE - it's huge and I don't know how to use it.

 

He didn't transfer them from the old phone? The last few times I've upgraded, I was able to keep every text I've ever sent from the previous phones.

 

Give it a day. I bet your contacts show up. Your phone is tied to your email. You had to give them an email.

 

The phone wouldn't stop rebooting, unfortunately the only way to get it to stop was a factory reset.

 

Shop around on those phone plans. I saved quite a bit dropping one carrier for another a while back.

 

Hopefully it’s not due to the decline of jumping ability

I hope the phone didn’t have a software/security update recently!
I ended up getting a new phone, after the update of software to my old phone and it went haywire!

VZN discontinued their messaging app a month or so ago, I went to the recommended app (GM) and the phone has not been the same since.

I got it in 2017 so it had a longer than average service life -- don't I feel better now...

 

Good thing that air cooled small engine runs cleaner than a fuel injected, converter equipped automobile engine.
