Got some more junk! Was up late one night and saw some interesting and cheap wheels and shot him a low ball offer and went to bed (the paint looked really poor which it was) and to my surprise he said sure why not sooo had to go grab em haha. So now I'm in the process of stripping the wheels down and sanding them... Three wheels are sanded down and ready to go to be polished or paint since at first I was gonna fully polish them and put them on the truck but the machined look with the bright blue just wasnt hitting it for me... So now the idea is to paint the main portion of the wheel the same dark grey my steelies are or to paint the wheels a different silver and paint the lip black with silver hardware or the same concept but bronze with a back lip with silver hardware. ATM I'm leaning towards the dark grey and machined lip with black hardware.

Also got the trucks front windows tinted and waiting to see if that's all I need or if I need more for the gf since she has light sensitivity issues. i did go about swapping my cabin air filter since it never showed being changed at the deeler so my guess is the old owner did it and when i opened it up it was basically smashed in there and not put in properly at all... so that was a funny find! i got a pic on my phone and will post that later on.upload_2025-1-2_11-25-42.jpg
this was just 80grit up to 400 so not fully polished but the blue and polished silver just wasnt hitting it for me
    upload_2025-1-2_11-26-54.jpg
80grit and 120 grit decided to stop there until i get all the rest done then ill go back and polish the lip and sand down the bores and get them ready for paint. yes i could use a sand blaster but id only use it this one time so it seems a bit silly to buy one for a one time use when i can just do it by hand which ive done before...
    upload_2025-1-2_11-28-3.jpg
then window tint! also i found a fun thing about these 17in steelies from ford... im not the only one that has balance issues with them oooor issues with the damn things sticking to the truck and not coming off without using a torche for at least 2-3mins per wheel... i will still keep these as spares but man its annoying when you try and rotate your tires and you have to heat up a dang wheel to just get it off! never had this issue with steelies before..

if you grease the surface of your hubs, then the wheels won't rust to the hubs and get stuck

    the old owner lmao

everything on this truck is on record at the dealer minus the cabin filter! so im guessing the owner got annoyed with the cover which is fair its annoying and just shoved it on lol

maybe i should give those polished wheels another shot but instead of it being fully polished break it up like this truck.

also this is not a raptor its a 5.0 platinum that was converted which i went down the rabbit hole on that one! its not to hard and you can buy all oem parts and it bolts right on!

sigh what to do with this car... ive lost basically all interest in it.. yes it was fun at the time but atm i dont have a desire to finish it or work on it so its been shoved outside to allow the gf to park in the garage.

not sure if ill sell it complete part it out or just keep it around...
