The defense is pretty solid, we need to address the situation at corner if we don’t think Woolen is gonna take another step, sometimes he looks lazy, can’t happen, don’t know whether we put Jobe or Brown out there or get it in the draft/free agency if we don’t continue to roll with Woolen next year.

Offense is way more complicated. If we put in serious work on the o line will that improve the run game and keep Geno clean so he turns the ball over less? Do we move on from Geno? Definitely need to let Locket walk and get a true #3 receiver, maybe move on from Fant to save cap space (resign Earnest Jones is top priority) and get another TE in the draft, it’s a pretty stacked class

I think Grubb’s offense has shown flashes of brilliance, people are already talking about moving on from him which I think would be a mistake, I think his game will translate at the pro level. Penix played behind the best line in college football at Udub, as it is now for the Seahawks whoever is gonna be back there throwing the ball is running for their life and too often the run game has nowhere to run between the tackles.

 

I'm definitely not in the camp that thinks Geno is the problem. The o-line has been weak for years. That's one of the reasons Russ left, he got tired of running for his life on every snap.
Yes he was skilled at running around and extending plays but QB shouldn't be expected to do that on every play.
Geno knows what to do, he's got the experience. He just needs more confidence to stand back there and make it happen.

Every snap the other team's defense is in the backfield immediately.

 

The Eagles are locked in at the 2 seed so nothing gained by beating the Giants. That said, what an ultimate slap in the face it would be if Barkley plays and runs for 101 yards breaking the single season record. The Giants entire upper management should be removed.

 

Even if we invested in the line and found out Geno was the problem (which I don’t think he is either), not a huge loss, get a solid group up front that plays together for a few years, insert any competent qb and compete, but I actually Geno is masking a lot of flaws, he’s 4th in the league in yards, but between the 20’s, who cares, can’t score, can’t win

 

At least he has psychedelics to keep his mind engaged post football life

I’m not one for excuses but the 9ers had a tough year for injuries

 

Not as long as Purdy is throwing to both teams.

 

Defense has been trash. Too many DC’s in too short a time to go along with those injuries. Everyone is looking at each other instead of anticipating the play.

 

starts from the top: Shanachoke should’ve nipped it in the bud from the get go: the special teams mishaps fucked it up bad in those close games with the butt rams and the AZ birds. Many games they choked while ahead in 4th quarter. Jake Moody has to go. Shanachoke also gave CMC a full load from the get go when JP was balling and top 2-3 in rushing. Injuries are no excuse. I thought they should’ve made a move during the trade deadline for a better O line. It’s been atrocious all around, back to my point everything points to Shanachoke. Had me sad when Harbaugh had the bolts saying, “who’s got it better than us, nobody!!!”

 

Don't get me started on the O line. Purdy's elbow is tweaked again. You need more than a second to throw and his picks are getting more plentiful. He's hot and cold. The defense is not playing 4 quarters of ball. I do think that you have to toss in injuries, however. They were about down to the water boy for a running back. It's been real frustrating watching them choke it up in the 4th quarter most of the season. Penalties, Moody shanking left and right.... They got issues that I doubt will be solved by next season.

 

Does Purdy get paid this off season? And if so what does he deserve?$$$$

 

If he's healthy, yes. $35 - 40 million? Miami overpaid Tua and they are in trouble if they don't restructure that deal.

 

How about you take McDaniel for Shanachoke? He'll fit in with the tubular surfers in Cali.

 

Be lucky to get him for $40 mil. He’s gonna be asking 60 plus. But if he wants to win and get paid by other ways such as the sponsorships, just take less and get yourself an O line and spread the wealth like Butthomes is doing with the can’t see shitty queefs. Dak fucked it up for everyone getting that much money he doesn’t deserve.

 

2025 is the last year of his rookie deal, about 1.1 million. I'm sure he's going to get a huge payday after that, the question is where though. IDK the situation San Fran is in now re the cap (much less next year of course). They could also be gunshy after backing up the Brinks truck for Jimmy G and watching that mess.

Good question, how much is a big thing. Never know what the market will be end of next season, if the 9ers wait that long.

Just like TFB did in New England for all that time...he was smart enough to realize the true value of doing that. Or Tedy Bruschi, another good example.

 

How much of his success is because of the system? He can ask for $60 million, but I don't think SF will come close, even if they wanted to. Dallas will have to restructure Dak's deal if they are going to compete with Philly and Wash.
