Ratchet strap will come in clutch too when aligning your axle and leaf pack to get those bolts back on.

Just don't be like me and forget to check the torque on your bolts after some few hundred miles

Lost one of my bolts one day and didn't realize it until I got home

At least you didn’t use the shackle hanger torque spec on the shocks. Sheared that bolt real quick

    Last question before it’s out;
I can’t put the driveshaft on in the wrong orientation at the diff right? Anytime I’ve removed it guides always say to mark the flange but I obviously have no reference on the new axle

There's no possible way to put the flanges together wrong. Just don't pull the slip yoke apart

Clearly it's a bit late for this now, but I saw today that 6-ton jack stands are on sale at Harbor Freight.

And the good news is, you'll get new ones in a few years when they recall them for failure

Don't think of them as recalls. Think of them as security updates.

Also @0xDEADBEEF, dude poured in like liquid

Psh, that was Pittsburgh. These are Daytona. Totally different.

In all seriousness though, the Daytona stands have a secondary retention mechanism to protect against the issue that caused the Pittsburgh stands to be recalled.

    Yeah just missed it
Axle is already stuck on my jack lol
I put a strap around the flange to hold it up so it didn’t spin forward, but then it just slipped backwards anyway
At least I can move it around easily still , getting it off is a problem for tomorrow hopefully can just slide it off
Also peep stray checking out what I was doing

When I lived in Mesa I had a stray that would hang out in the garage with me and catch cicadas at night. I miss that dude I wonder how he's doing. He lived in a bush next to the house and all the neighbors fed him.

Oh your jack has a teeny pad on it. I see what it's a struggle.

Lifting one end of the axle at a time isn't too bad from what I remember. If things get dire, remove the brake drum to make it lighter.
