That makes sense. Maybe I should go for an xl as well :notsure:. There's a few things I want to get from Mazz but they're all sold out lol. I'm leaning towards a yurich micro rc boss truck body. That or a lexan deadbolt body to help with weight

I see the deadbolt used often, and see some pretty badass iterations.

The truck body you mention, I think there's a 3D print file out there for it? A lot of people just 3D print it (if you have access to one). I didn't want to go that route because rules online state that Class II would need a full body (it's rear caged right? or does it have a bed?).

I didn't want to fall into Class III by accident only to get out-classed by others right away. Or at least, I think that's what I'm doing

Yeah that was me. I was going to combine an Ascent chassis to Gen8 axles, but I'm selling the Gen8 whole to fund the VRD Carbon instead. I still have Frankenstein on the back burner, although he got a sweet pair of shocks thrown in his parts bin today too. ;)

I'm giving it one last chance as I just ordered the Injora metal skid this way there's no plastic that'll easily strip.

It's definitely a fun little basher but I'm more focused on this "comp" build I'm putting together.

No access to a 3d printer however I would like to get one down the road. Good to know. Truggy's and cab only are allowed in class II per SORCCA rules unless there was an amendment/update to the rules that I was looking at. The Yurich body is indeed rear caged.

Oh same, I have no 3D printer but I often keep certain things bookmarked (or download them) in case I wanna pay someone to do it.

I'll look up the rules again for Class II.

What were the other chassis you were comparing the Mazz with?

I would've purchased the titanium version for only $10 more but they only had CF in stock so I went that route.

Beadlocks made it here from Aliexpress China faster than the tires coming from Ebay. Literally delivered a half hour ago, it's 8:15 and snowing, so props to the driver.

Screw bag had a multi tool. Tires should be here next week

I saw a few videos on the Rampcrab - good builds come from using that thing especially for the budget.

But that Gatekeeper, that's easily my pick over the Rampcrab if I had to choose one of those two.

You should just buy them all and compare for us ;)

Lol, be my sugar daddy :boink:

You happen to know of any other front axles that can provide 52 ish degrees of steering angle besides the meus? If not, that's probably the axles I'll run

I'm retired, so I'm sure I make a lot less than most!

Super 8 axles are supposed to have some good steering, though I'm not exactly sure how as I didn't look into them.

Hmmm, the meus axles provide more steering angle but it looks like the super 8's have slightly more ground clearance. Is that worth the extra $40? I'm not sure....

    Man, that's something I don't think I can answer!

Unless I sold my FCX18 and opted to build two crawlers at once.

Cause what was supposed to be an office (and place for extra computers and stuff) will instead be a playroom for the kiddo

And my garage is too packed with tools so :bananadead:

Sounds like the best room to play with 3 crawlers :crapstorm: kids toys are great obstacles, so I've been told
