Yay my electrician apprentice test got scheduled finally. The 27th tho.

You guys think it would be worth doing doordash with the tacos mpg? Need something to make some money and cant really get like a full job until ive at least done all the stuff to get on the apprenticeship list

 

Can’t say, as I don’t know anyone who drives for them. I know someone who drives for UberEats with an F-150. He liked it because he got to choose which ones he did and said the tips were good.

 

No, it won't be worth it. I did Uber eats and door dash for 2 years. My Land Cruiser laughed at me as I did the delivery for 2 days. I truly spent more in gas than I made. So I proceeded to buy a new Honda civic. Even with the car payment. The gas savings (10mpg vs 35mpg) was more cost effective to buy a new car.

If I had to do it again, I would buy a used camry/corolla/civic beater to drive for the door dash work. In my area I was averaging $30/ hour since I was really good at picking and choosing which deliveries to accept and which ones to pass on.

 

I wear long undies from mid-October thru April.

This little "storm" predictions are all over the darn place; nobody agrees on a total. NWS is like maybe 7" total and then everyone is posting maps 10"-12". Filled up my gas can with fresh ethanol free after work yesterday so I guess I'll deal with whatever comes. I don't have to be anywhere until Tuesday, and that's just in town, so whatever...

Pushing snow since 3am, they say the worst of it is still to come.

 

Morning whatevers.

It's 30 degrees and raining mixed with sleet here right now. Everything is covered with a sheet of ice but at least the power is still on...so far.

The lights went out 3 times last night while I was trying to watch a movie but each time came back on after 10 or 15 seconds.

Think I'm gonna start a fire in the fireplace and hang out with the cat and a good book today.

Normally when it's this close to the "storm" all the models start agreeing with each other. Not this time, weird. As long as we don't get any sleet/ice I'm perfectly happy.

The wind Wednesday night into Thursday was really ripping. I woke up a little before 12am and thought someone was breaking into the house so I was went out in the living room in my shorts, gun in hand, just to realize it was the wind

Then the power went out
