Bro! Did you measure your front lift from center hub to fender flare? I think you’re at least at 2" or 2.5" of lift there with the 4004 springs set on 4th notch! I also have the MT64 with the 4000 springs (which are shorter than the 4004) and mine are set at the 3rd notch and I have 1.5" of lift in the front! (Center hub to fender is 22.5" , stock you are at 21").

I considered that then thought what if I forget and double up the gasket? Or someone else does oil change and does same? Probably still wouldn’t leak but OCD self says remove stuck on gasket.

I'm thinking the 10 quart and the 5 gal (not quart lol) one, and they are the same price, for when I am messing with a transmission...

I cut the tabs out of the bulbs instead. Not to difficult with an xacto knife set. Then did the same to an extra and threw it in the glove box. Now all 4 bulbs are H9s and I have a spare in the truck.

Edit: also just so everyone knows that green thing is a locking cap to prevent the tabs that hold the terminals in from moving. The terminals won’t necessarily move without it on this particular connector but it is possible.

hey man. I don’t like to be a butt in know it all guy - I frankly don’t know much. But what do know is that ko3 is a completely different tire than the ko2. Meaning I would think the inbalance can’t be good for the drive team.

can you make it your spare or is it your spare by chance ???

again sorry to butt in. Just trying in the interest of being helpful / prevent future damage

If I was to go all the way down to the lower garage to get a xacto knife out of my tool box, then I could have just grabbed my snap on needle nose and been done with it....

But I did keep the green thingy's (locking cap) incase I want to re install them later, I was just too lazy to do much more than install the new bulbs for now, plus I was doing it while about to go out for food... lol

This is only a [potential] issue for different sized tires on the same axle for long periods of time...

I could make it my spare sure but I haven’t noticed or felt any imbalance with it on. It’s the same size 265/75/16 as the 3 KO2’s, it’s 3 pounds lighter than the KO2’s but once again I don’t feel any difference. Soon after getting that tire on I put a lift on my truck and got an alignment and don’t notice any drift with the lighter tire

Speaking as a guy who uses a LT235/85R16 winter tire as my spare year round, I don't think running a not-exact match on the same axle is terrible for a short time.

But if you're going to keep using it, I'd suggest getting a second KO3 and running them both on the rear, then move the surplus KO2 to the spare.

Just make sure by looking at all 4 that they are either all 4 LT's or P's in front of the 265/75R16...

    EDITed to say..
Just go back to Discount Tire and ask them to order the correct tire that they messed up installing and when it comes in have them install it, they should be happy to take care of you... Just tell them the old ball tire was just at temp until the one you paid for came in... They may or may not give you the old ball, at least at a discounted price...

If you don't think 3 pounds is a lot, take a 3 pound weight and tie a 15" string/rope to it and then swing it around in a circle... Or put it this way, would you allow them to use 3 pounds of weights to balance one tire... That 3 pound difference can/will affect the brakes in an emergency/panic braking maneuver...

Right, which is why I said "for long periods of time"

And I'm not the one running the BFG KO2/KO3...that would be @99kx250

I’d do as said above and tell Discount to put the matching tire on the truck as soon as they get one in. Which they prolly got already but you prolly already got the Wildpeaks on there or are on the way?. Frankly I’m surprised they did that and would love to hear (or read) the story behind the torn bead they messed up.

Or why they (Discount Tire) would put one different tire on the truck, instead of at least two of a different tire, and order a replacement for the one they messed up, and call when it arrived and make it all good.
