    Ranger Raptor, sorry TW
Try the Ford Performance Tune, I’ve had mine tuned about 2 weeks now and it’s definitely faster of course but transmission seems even better than before.
lethal performance has them for $615 which is a deal for 455/536 output. I also gave up a Lunar Rock MT OR but bought a Mini Cooper JCW 6 speed to keep my 3rd pedal hunger satisfied

Was going to back in 2012, but couldn't afford the big boy Raptor. Crazy shit that MSRP back then was pretty much exactly the same as what the Ranger Raptor is today. Inflation is a bitch. Anyway, keeping my 4R forever, but hell yeah if Toyota get's their shit together you might be seeing me once again in the future.

My guess that 5th gen Tacoma won't be here until around 2031.

$57,933 + tax... Got $2551 off MSRP! Got $34,500 for the Taco and with tax credit with trade saved around $2000.

Was just curious. I'm just blown away with the price of the full size raptor. I looked very briefly before getting my taco, very briefly and didn't want a $1400 monthly payment

I hear yeah! No way would I do that! I wasn't going to do it without good equity from my trade. Had $10,500 in equity+ put $5000 down, so my payments are just $100 more then the out going Taco. 6.5% finance rate thru Capital One which isn't great obviously and the dealer prob took a point for their greedy needs. so....

If I didn't buy 2 years ago, I definitely wouldn't get a TRD pro today over a RR. Congrats!

Congrats. Not sure what I’d do if I was buying a truck today, but I’d definitely put the Ranger Raptor on my short list (can I delete the red interior accents?).

    According to US News:

The most reliable mid-size truck soars past the Toyota Tacoma

For years, the Toyota Tacoma dominated as the most reliable mid-size truck available. However, its reign recently ended once the new generation launched in 2024. Now, the most dependable truck is the Ford Ranger.

Looking to do the exact same thing. How is the back seat ? How is the mpg ? And how is the build quality? Any bumper alignment issues

The Ford Ranger was not offered in North America from 2012-2018.

Wow, $60K for a new Ford Ranger! I remember the day when Ford could not give those piece of shits away! Hopefully this new gen is a better machine.

PS: hopefully everyone knows this and just chooses to ignore it, but buying / financing a brand-new vehicle is about the dumbest financial decision one can make! Nothing will keep you stuck in the lower middle class more than endless loan payments on a rapidly depreciating asset! Pay that thing off fast OP and then drive it into the ground!

They are 57k for a fully loaded ranger with well over 400hp that goes 0-60 in low 5s with a factory warrantied tune, fox shocks and front and rear lockers. Compared to a 300hp mid range trd OF Tacoma for the same price.

Yep! I know it sucks ass. My tacoma bought almost 2 yrs ago was 5%, so a point and a half is not going to kill me, but still. I totally brain farted not asking what my buy rate was. Assuming it was a least a point below 6.5% since most dealers scimm some of it.

You're making me feel dumb...lol! Just Kidding.

I took a loan in May 2021 for my Sport but got 1.8% financing for 60 months.

Total amortization finance charge for $35K/60 months was just about $2K.

My truck is currently valued at $30K+ with just over 32K miles on it.

I've got 18 payments to go and about $18/month interest and payoff balance just a tad over $10K.

I would not buy a $50-$60K Tacoma (or any truck) now...and with those interest rates!

MSRP for a loaded Raptor is $60,xxx. Only options available are the bead lock wheels, spray in bed liner, graphic's kit, mud guards, and key pad for door. Base MRSP is $57,500. You hit the highlights with the features that blow the 4th gen tacoma's doors off. The only thing that I am a little concerned with is the "cam phaser" issue's that still exist on the Eco boost motors. Some guys have report failures on some 2024 RR's, so fingers crossed I will not have that issue. LoL

Yeah back when interest rates were low. Times have changed because you know who(don't want to say to get banned for a 2nd time) printed too much money, and the fake China flu that shut down the world. Hardly nobody here remembers the 80's were interest rates were 19%... Rates were so low for so long everyone got spoiled. Financing for almost free money is not normal.
