It's great. I can't quite stand up in it all the way (gotta bend my neck a bit), but it's got plenty of room for me, the lady, the dog (small), and clothes for the following morning. Great air mattress, too. The only thing that kind of sucks is that you can't mount solar to it because it's not a hard shell. I also do really wish that the side doors/windows rolled up instead of down, but it seems like almost everything on the market works the same way.

bars, joints made here in the states, however, small hardware such as bolts and t-nuts are unknown, and personally I would careless about origin of those hardware.

I am going to have one of their test unit soon hopefully in the next month or two and will be reporting back on how they work out for me.

Big sigh, their production for the XO Skeleton has met some challenges and not able to ship any yet.

I had a feeling that that was the case, given that I hadn't seen anything about them in months.

yea was planning on testing it out this summer but I missed that, hopefully if things go well, the topper and rack will be ready to go end of the year.

Welp here we are literally. Haven’t seen the so called projected releases come to fruition.

I honestly find it bizarre that, despite having prototypes shown in videos (by others), there's zero photos of them on the website.

Agreed. I know they are a good company, I've seen other products of theirs and know some guys who personally know the xtrusion guys, but I agree that no photos on their website doesn't make a guy feel very comfortable dropping a deposit. Hell, theres barely even any info on their site honestly, and its all out of date anyways.

They also keep moving their dates and slowly raising prices as well. Doing that, at least show pics like what @essjay mentioned. Their dimensions also changed. At least initially they mentioned some numbers to me then it changed to something. I’d be pissed if I put a deposit down. We’re almost a year from when they first talked about this and still no result. My interest has waned quite a ways.

same. I was considering a deposit but the lack of information and vagueness turned me off. I ended up going with a GFC and I’m super happy I don’t have a deposit tied up with no end in sight.

The only reason I keep watching Xtrusion is because no one makes a damn canopy RTT where the tent can be removed when not needed and replaced with a roof panel.

I honestly don't know why this isn't a thing yet. GoFast said it's a great idea but no plans to develop one when I reached out to them about it, and I've seen it requested all over forums and IG.

I've seen some videos that users have stated Gaia tents can be removed, but I found nothing on their site or in their videos about it.

I was unaware of Alucab having anything like this. What system is it? One downside (at least to me) is Alucab campers removes the tailgate and uses a rear door, which makes slide out drawer systems unusable.

EDIT: I'm aware they cave canopy/topper options, I meant I want a system that has the passthrough to the tent from the bed, but also have the option to remove the tent and just have a topper.

I am pretty sure Alucabs modcap system can be converted between topper and camper and still has a pass through when in camper mode.

I was just looking at them, I saw it mentioned you could change sizes, but didn't see anything about going from camper to topper. I'll have to dig some more and find out.
