I really don't give a shit what anyone drives.
The stuff people argue about on these forums can be pretty entertaining sometimes.

No, outside. Mostly I would have preferred them keep the bed outlet standard and the same size back window as the 3G rather than add this feature.

In Canada, we could get a TRD OR MT AC third gen. Has the features you want, albeit with a few "extras."
With temps dropping to minus 40 in northern BC this week, those heated seats are looking pretty attractive.

And yet, here you are talking about trucks you don’t want.

The 2021 I bought in December 2020 was 41k. Adjusted for inflation it would be about 49k today. The 2024 I bought a couple of months ago was 51k. There were easily 2k in upgrades compared to my previous truck.

Although nobody likes the price increase, there are improvements made to the 4th gen. If the new powertrain ends up being highly reliable, then a lot of these arguments will go away. But like the 3rd gen, it’s going to be a few years.

Especially since it’s over 3000rpm sooner to peak. 50hp more at 2000rpm feels so much better

What hate? They look like great trucks to me. I would absolutely get a 4g if I was looking to buy another Tacoma. However, I am happy that my 3g is paid off and is problem free for now.

It has probably already been said in the last 7 pages of this post that I'm not reading...
If not, here's my thoughts. The 4th Gen and especially the PRO is to date the finest truck that Toyota has ever made and is quite possible the best Midsize Truck on the market right now. Period. End of story.

However - The question is, "To what degree?" I would say it is only marginally a small step above previous models and the competition. So yes, it is the winner in a game where the score is 54 to 56. But the price is a far greater increase than the value of the improvements over an already capable truck.

Mmmmmmmm, a smug idiot who makes money by people viewing his smug idiotry.

Pretty much sums up the meta-dumb of today's economy and lack of economic awareness in the quest for Warholian vanity.

    Wait what was the question?

A better engine, transmission, frame, suspension, suspension design, ergonomics, tech, and feature set is only a marginal improvement over the 3G pro?
