I thought the green insert was to just simply stop people from installing H9 in the low beam H11’s. In any event, I still have those green tabs just in case.

As I recall, removing was not brain surgery ... not even a notably tight fit. Simple lift-out. But I have slept since then, so maybe I mis-recall. :notsure:

Hello. New member here. 140,000 miles on my rig. Been doing alot of work lately. All fluid changes and flushes have been done. New brakes, throttle body cleaning, air filters. Removing interior panels and cleaning them. I took off my headliner today and sprayed it out at the carwash. Seems fine. Next time I would tape over the back of the cut outs and tape the wires back so they don't get wet.

Welcome to TW... We like pictures, feel free to post pics of your rig and any mods you might have already done...

I have to say though, I don't remember anyone ever removing a head liner just to spray it off... That is a new one on me... lol... I've pulled seats and carpet for deep cleaning before, but not a head liner... I have redone old head liners years ago though... pretty cool...

Thanks. Glad to be here. It was... TOTALLY WORTH IT. IMO. As long as the wiring didn't get ruined. Headliner was badly discolored from years of smoking.

The wiring should be good, just let it dry really good, I have done fresh water flood cars that didn't damage the wiring, ECM's and bearing and stuff like that yes, wiring no... Salt water is a different story though...

My post was in support of your comment to @99kx250....adding more information by agreeing with you. I accidentally quoted your comment instead of his original post. My bad.

Reading comments from others since, and it appears there is a consensus that the tires on a given axle need to be "identical twins" for long-term use.

I'm loving the KO3s better than the 2's to be honest.

ARP extended studs (not installed yet), Optima Red Top, Siless Insulation in cab. Diode Dynamics LEDs throughout... More titanium fasteners. K&N intake snorkus delete. Greddy hose clamps throughout. DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. More to come of course.
Blew an interior fuse farting around with hard wiring a radar detector. Did not know it until I left for work, at 0400, and half my dash was black and CEL's all over the place. Crazy part was I had the headlights in "AUTO" and halfway through my drive they shut off too. DOH! Pretty sketchy at zero dark thirty at 80mph. Rookie move playing around with the battery connected.

Installed Badlands Apex 12K winch on my Demello bumper. Torquing the fairlead was a pain.

This has to come off. It’s spot weld in three spots so a step drill made easy work.

Perfect fit. Did not need to relocate the control box.

I cut a piece off the bottom of the grille to access the clutch handle.

All wired up. I followed instructions. A lot of people will ground to the body from videos I’ve seen. The distribution block is for future hardware.

Bought my truck in California in 21. Moved to Utah for a couple years and just moved back to Cali. Registered truck back in Cali today and had to provide a weight certificate since California apparently considers all trucks commercial vehicles. This conversation occurred when I handed her the weight cert...
