    Perez is the new Steiner

Fan favourite but not competent enough.

Monaco is a tough one because of history that makes it the most prestigious race win on the calendar. No one remembers who won Suzuka, everyone remembers who won Monaco.

    Politely disagree

It's usually a shit race but it's Monaco

There is no Formula 1 without Monaco

Edit: Agreed about the fact that the cars should be smaller, but even as they stand Monaco is fun every year even if just for Quali

Formula 1 is all about the spectacle now - make Monaco a celebrity race between retired drivers in vintage cars.

Unless it rains. Pretty boring in the dry.

Gotta keep Monaco. I'm okay with a spectacle race. I treat it like the all star game in the NBA or MLB - a bit of an exhibition only it actually has implications.

Might share some pics/experiences from the last two races at CotA. I was fortunate enough to see and experience a lot of cool stuff for the full weekend both years.

We're Haas fans (KMag fan since he entered the sport). I'm pretty bummed about losing the Hulk/KMag lineup. I *think* they're better off this year, but I'm not convinced yet.

Here's a pic of the current layout for F1. I often watch FPs from my desk and quali/races from the couch on the big TV.

Lights and top display are synced with the track flags, safety car, rain, etc.

Monaco should stay for the spectacle, but they should run one-off car specs. No wings, no ground effects, super hard tires so that there are no pit stops. Imagine a modern, safer version of the Lotus 65. Skinny cars able to pass, semi-drifting around some of the curves. That would be my idea of an interesting Monaco race.

That is a dream setup right there, I'm just happy when my computer/TV/internet actually work well enough for the F1TV stream to not buffer 100x during a race

Why not just have a single F1 thread, why the need for separate years?

My bad, that's on me. Hadn't even noticed you were the OP in all the other threads. Just saw this:
And figured since I didn't see one for 2025 I'd start one to continue conversation for the new season.

?!? I was just trying to keep with tradition since I saw there were threads for individual seasons.
