That's a horrible idea. What time?
This was not our original plan. We were looking closer to Chattanooga but couldn't find what we were looking for. This one showed up as a nearby property on another we were looking at. And our builder is a small business which is what we wanted. We are really happy with the choices so far and can't wait to get there.

Talked to him again after Christmas, he said “It’s all over here, whatever you need”. And he also said thanks. Must’ve caught him on a bad day, I should’ve known better.

Well pastor at church gave me the green light to ask for donations for the large cross with all money going to the benevolence fund. So I started prepping stock for the next batch.
Anyone care to guess the species of this wood? Hint, you can't buy it in a lumber store, at least I've never seen it for sale.20250105_172048.jpg
I have more to plane down yet. This stack is maple, box elder, and one piece of walnut.

A burn day is in my future, lol. Scrap box is overflowing.

I plan on making some thick decorative 8” deep 40” long shelves by gluing 3 pieces of various wood species.

Indoor dry situation finished thickness around 1.75” - 2”

    Will be floating

Main question is what glue would you recommend?

Any other suggestions or warnings welcome

Titebond I, II or III would work fine for you.

Since your project will be indoors, Titebond I is fine. Of all the glues, I is the "weakest" - but all are much stronger than the wood itself.

Think about how long it will take you to spread a layer of wood, then get the glue with the appropriate open time. To me, this is your main concern.

I am looking for adjustable shelf brackets such as the linked ones below, I specifically want ones shaped like a sideways T instead of the regular L. I found these but 1000 is just a few hundred more then I need.
If yall have suggestions I would appreciate it. The reason I want T shaped ones is for heavy weight exterior usage.

That glue will work fine. I don't think you will need to worry about it being translucent, as your joins should be tight.

Rollers work great to spread glue - as do old credit cards (acting like a squeegee).
